Tutorial: Blueprints Setup - Photoshop / Maya

In Photoshop go to edit -->preferences -->general settings and turn on the use legacy "New Document" interface option...that way when you press "CTRL+N" your new document's canvas size will be the same as your selection.

After cutting the pictures in photoshop, checking their sizes and arranging the planes' dimensions according their sizes must be the heathier way.. by the way, i like your modeling skills, you are one of the master of designers ;) i wish you a continued success..

Go to panels , then to otographic and create the back view. Now you've got to put the rear image plane. That works for me. :)

I hate to burst everyone bubbles but I think this video is a trick! I'm no rocket scientist or a master in 3D C.A.D. (Computer Aided Design or Drafting / Drawing). You can't just add three seperate pictures (X, Y & Z) of a car and get a 3D model of a car, it doesn't work that way in any C.A.D. program, none that I know of. Here are the clues that lead me to suspect this video is a trick. 1.) When the 3D model of the car pop up it show it have a license plate number (6637 MCG) on the front, where as the picture of the car doesn't have no license plate number (6637 MCG). 2.) Again when the 3D model of the car pop up, it was already colored (Black - Rims, etc., Orange - Disck Brakes, Silver - Car Body, Gray - Interior (Seats, etc.), Red - Back Tail Light), meaning that it was previously made! It's not a coincidence why the uploader of this video didn't include verbal directions or written directions on how to create this 3D car model in this fashion, surprise, suprise, surprise! 8O

It's only showing the blueprint setup he used to create the model later. There is no "trick". The purpose of the video is to teach the blueprint setup, not to teach you how to model a car. The model was clearly done afterwards but shown at the end of the video as proof that the blueprint setup works.
