Dear Hans when a map does not have a coordinate system in PCRaster how can we add it using the command line. With Gdal we should use Gdalwarp?

PCRaster doesn't need a projection. If you want to add a projection you can use gdal_translate with the -a_srs option and save to geotiff. Not gdalwarp, unless you want to reproject.

So if i analyse the rain in my river basin, the mask will be the basin delineation, correct?What should i do to get the average rain time series for this area after interpolation? Could i have images files (png, jpge) from this raster delineated by the "mask"? Thanks a lot for help us

You can calculate average by using maptotal and divide it by the number of cells. You can use map algebra with PCRaster, see this course: courses.gisopencourseware.org/course/view.php?id=2&section=4. To export to other formats you need other Python libraries. For example with GDAL you can translate PCRaster to PNG or JPEG, see gdal.org/index.html

Ops, I commented in the wrong video! I will try to get the average of interpolated rainfall timeseries as that lesson! Tanks

hi, if I want to create subbasins in the basin, I have to create outlets manually and use subcathment?
@HansvanderKwast

You can use the Strahler order map (result of the streamorder function) and create points where the order changes (you can use the downstream function). Then you get all the outlets. Then you can use the catchment or subcatchment function (not sure what the difference is).

@@HansvanderKwast thak you for your answer. I saw the downstream function but I can't understand how to extract the points where the order changes. If you could explain me better I would appreciate it
