So many good tips even for a seasoned builder! :D I especially love the tip about middle points and footprints. I think that's some of the reasons why many of my custom things didn't work. Thanks so much! ♥

The part with the footprints was golden! I'm a fairly experienced builder but I haven't spent as much time doing custom furniture so that was really really helpful! Thank you so much!

Also another good tutorial topic would be something like.. your most used debug objects, kinda like a greatest hits collection. :D there's just so much stuff there in the debug catalogue and trial and error is often quite a tedious way of working so if you could share some of the stuff you have learned it would be greatly appreciated. The footprint stuff was already super useful though!
@Schnuck012 жыл бұрын
This is a great idea! I do already have a very small 1x1 room on the gallery with some of the debug objects I use most from the base game, but I will have to give this some thought & put something together =)

Thank you, this was great! It explained why a certain object kept malfunctioning after working perfectly... they left the lot and then returned. I now know I need to find a better solution. I also love the info about not covering half of the footprint on an object. This explains so much! I REALLY appreciate the level of detail you included, and found it very helpful. Thank you SO much. Your builds are my absolute faves. The work and creativity that goes into them is not lost on me. Thanks again, and have a great week!

If you type in debug on console you will only be shown items with debug in the title which is less than half the hidden/unknown objects available to us. Use RT & filter the entire catalog by Filters > Content > Unknown & you will see everything console players can access without a keyboard & mouse.

Yeah, definitely more for lots than rooms, unless you uploaded 2 rooms with instructions on how & where to place it which most people wouldn't read anyway and is not worth the hassle 😂

On console to access bb.showhiddenobjects items do the following. We do NOT have full debug access by default. Press & hold L1 + L2 + R1 + R2(Sony) or RB + RT + LB + LT(Xbox). Type bb.showhiddenobjects into the popup menu. In the Build catalog next to the text field click the magnifying glass icon while the field is empty. On the RIGHT side of the screen is the catalog filter press RT (right trigger) & you can see that the hidden objects cheats was successfully enabled if under the "Content" drop down bar you see an option to filter by "Unknown", on PC this filter is called Debug. Console does NOT have a debug filter. At all. Anyone saying it does is either lying to you or does not understand the game on console. On console with only your controller you cannot actually access full debug which can only be unlocked by use of a keyboard/mouse set up. Sony & Microsoft DO now allow players to use keyboard/mouse if a game is optimized for that. You MUST have a keyboard the game can recognize as a controller & a mouse to do the following. PlayStation - L1 + L2 + R1 + R2 Xbox - RB + RT + LB + LT Type in bb.showhiddenobjects Type in bb.showliveeditobjects Search bar, type in debug as Schnuck is describing. This only works with a keyboard/mouse active. The second you touch the controller your game will reset to console mode & your bb.liveeditcheats will no longer be accessible. Objects you may have selected from the menu & placed will still remain on your lot but the debug menu filter used to access the objects does not exist in console when using a controller. So if you want things from debug either save a room of objects to your console library, the gallery or layout EVERYTHING you may want them deejay what your don't use later. I have put up some rooms of debug objects on my gallery for console use. Mostly debug plants & frequently used objects like signs, cars & cottage living/island living decore like laundry lines & haybales. My gallery ID is. PC: Iheartsandwiches I also painted every painting in the game & uploaded them as walls on my alt console account for cheap in game artwork a year ago. Search filter by rooms. Gallery ID Sony: AgentKimiKat Xbox: BusyBusyPanda This happens because on console when the game is accessed with a keyboard & mouse you are transitioning to a PC version of the game running in your console. When the standard console controller is detected the game reverts back to the Xbox or PlayStation version on your console.

I am curious, what debug objects are not accessible on console without a keyboard?
@claralincoln28232 жыл бұрын
@@Schnuck01 , I have never had a problem accessing **DEBUG** items, playing on PS4 with a controller. After turning on Testingcheats on, I then enter the following: Bb.moveobjects on Bb.ignoregameplayunlocksentitlement Bb.showhiddenitems Bb.showliveedititems (in this order) **DEBUG** in space bar and everything comes up. I learned this watching KZbin videos and reading gaming magazine articles. I hope you do a video on this. It would be most helpful for those of us who can only play this beloved game on console. Thanks, for all you do❣️
