Thank You SO much for the lesson it helped a lot, and you didn't use GIMP...i find it confusion with all the tools. Quick suggestion if you ever redo or edit this video, explaining how you get the picture in the same project maybe useful. I had to go to another video to learn that, along with cropping.....THANKS AGAIN your awesome

I'm glad you found the video helpful😊. I learned from someone else on here myself so how I do it is just from how I learned lol. And yea I don't know why I didn't explain the cropping, on that site I use called photopea it's a certain way you can fit the photo into the barrier without cropping, idk why I didn't explain it. Also wdym by getting pictures into the same project? Are you talking about like multiple swatches of pictures?

@@rockangelsims Yes, so i used the wall size poster and i created a collages, at first and i opened my pictures the were all on different tabs. Then they were in the bac ground being the picture i was trying to replace. i figured out it was an layers order thing but it took like 30 min to figure out lol

so uhm... is there a way you could make a painting that in the game the sim would actually paint him/herself replacing maybe an classic one that your sim would paint?

You mean like a painting that's already in the game, or a painting that isn't in the game but could look like it is?

@@rockangelsims you know when you click the easel you have an option to go for a classic painting and your sim starts painting one of the classic ones, is it replaceable with a pic of your own so it looks like your sim is painting it?

whenever i click on a poster to like 'recolour' and i click next i just see blueness(its just blank and the poster is not there) not the poster.

what did you click to add the photo to the edit? like how did you export your picture @6:10

I usually just drag and drop the picture files. When you're on the main screen of the photopea website just drag and drop the picture you exported (tragic clown) from where ever you saved it.

When you imported your photo into Photopea how did you resize the image?

Press shift and move the little squares that's around the image to resize the image to fit.

when i press the "object standlone recolor" it doesn't show no objects can u tell me why pls?

I'm honestly not sure why it would do that. I haven't had that happen to me before. You can try uninstalling and reinstalling the most recent S4S and see if that helps.

I'm not sure why but the only thing I can think of that would make that issue is the quality or sometimes the size of the image you're using.

When I do the first step my S4S doesn't show anything like it did on yours. I am trying to turn an image (jpeg) into an object CC like in your video.

Try a PNG. Also time stamp what part your talking about.

i've tried this twice now and everything goes fine until i try and open the sims, and it says the file is corrupted :(( why could this be?

I have no clue. It hasn't done that to me before. Try updating the sims 4 studios app, and see if that works.

I must be doing something wrong. When I go to place the picture in build mode, it is invisible and doesn't show up on the wall. I can't figure out why.

@@rockangelsims Up to resetting the PC itself, yes. The picture will place, it just isn't visible. I've tried using different picture edits, different package names, and leaving old swatches on to see if something shows up. The unaltered swatches will appear just fine. So, yeah, total mystery going on here. lol

@@LanceLindquist-vi1yb lol yea that is a mystery. Did u try using a different frame that's not the tragic clown? Just to see if any other frames make it work. Also do u play with mods? If so it could be a mod u have that's conflicting with it.

Put the file that you saved at the end on sims 4 studios in your mods folder.

As long as the picture is clear and it fits in the boundaries of the picture it should be fine. Try not to stretch the picture too much. Let me know if that helps

@@rockangelsims i don't stretch it, in fact, i always have to shrink it with every single frame because the original picture comes out quite large each time. so that's why im confused. i could see if i needed to enlarge it then yes it would be stretched. but the quality drastically decreases each time even though i always shrink it.
