Tutorial : DIY Wire rope vibration isolator/vibration damper/Jello killer

This is a quick tutorial about making wire rope dampers with some cheap material for little cameras to big ones with gimbal like red epic to mount them on multicopter/ car mount or any place producing vibrations.
I hope it will be usefull ^^
What you need :
-For small cameras
bicycle brake cable 1,5 or 1,6mm diameter
a pair of pincers to cut it
little electrical connector or terminal blocks where the brake cable can enter in

-For big cameras
3 or 3,5mm diameter wire rope
a pair of pincers to cut it
electrical connector or terminal blocks where wire rope can enter in

Hey man, great tut. I'm looking for a vibration damper for a Canon 5D bicycle mount - will give that a try, because right now it's jittering like hell. Thanks for the inspiration. If it works, I will give you a extra credit in the documentary. ;-)

Awesome idea! I´ve been playing around with wire rope and brackets, but this is way more simple..Thanks man! Currently putting together a damper system for a Ronin-M and a GH4 on a 1/5 buggy for kinda offroad-use on the farm..

to prove that, this device does prevent vibration moves from the base to the next plate, you need to use the vibration APP. app is free for iOS. get an ipad. use the app. do a proper test. create a source of vibration, apply to the fixed plates. screen shot the numbers. then use your spring device and test and compare the numbers. put both screen shots and description of vibration test on a video. or send me the files, i make a web page for it. contact me throuh the contact page of the web site.
