Hey Tim. Glad you are giving us some more Mavic Pro Tutorials. I have the Mavic and I have been able to fly it a little bit but the winter has hit us hard up here in Canada so I haven't gotten to explore all of the features yet. So your channel is helping me learn without the flying. My channel is more of a sailing focussed channel but I use drone videography all the time. The Mavic is going to replace the Q500 4K that I shot my first season with. I can't wait to shoot the 1000 Islands area next season with the Mavic and I love how I can take it anywhere without a hassle. Plan to take it with me to the BVIs in Feb to go sailing on a Catamaran. I couldn't take the big Q on the plane as carry on luggage. You have a new subscriber. Keep up the good work. Craig

Hi Timothy, I subscribed to your channel a few weeks ago. I'm getting ready to order my Mavic Pro Platinum and my choice of drones was because of your videos. I really like your videos as a learning source because you cover the topics thoroughly and completely. You don't try to be funny or repeat things over and over like some reviewers I've watched, or should I say, tried to watch. I usually have to stop watching the videos because of their presentation style. I've made up my list of accessories for the Mavic based on your reccomendations. Loved the videos on intelligent flight modes and filters. Keep up the good work and I'll keep watching. Thanks for all your hard work, Darrell Judah

When I got my Mavic Pro in 2017, I looked into all of the intelligent flight modes. Fast forward to today, I needed this exact mode for a real estate property but didn't remember the name of the mode or how to use any of the modes but I remembered the mode itself and its capabilities. I ended up free balling it using both joysticks and it turned out pretty good and only needed like 5-10 seconds of footage. Itching to find out how to successfully use this mode for my next property, I found your video and it turned out to be really helpful. Thank you. I'm going to use POI next time :)

I really like the way you describe things so that a newbie can understand. I agree with Gadget Inspector that you should try out 1080p sixty frames per second. I'd like to see if it's really a problem with this drone. I don't know why, I'll be shooting thirty fps when I get mine.

Hi Timothy...another excellent video fully demonstrating the set of features available in the mode. Just one query...at 5:37 you move the left stick down to, you say, lower the altitude. But according to the screen help at 3:39, that movement should actually increase the radius.

Good info; thanks. Disappointed that at 7:30, you cut out how to return to the POI controls. For an 'advanced POI', could you cover (if it is possible) how to approach a POI, circle it, then leave the POI. Example: follow a road, circle a building, then resume following the road.

Another very informative video. I find it interesting that DJI chose to use the right stick for rotating the craft during this function. You would have thought that they would have wanted to stay consistent using the left stick so as not to get confusing. I'd like to know if there is a way to easily shut the ultrasonic sensors off on the bottom so you can hand grab the drone for landing without it pulling away. I'm up here in the "great white north" and would like to grab it out of the air and not worry about snow when I land.

Great Video - very helpful ! Would you happen to know if there is a mode of function whereby you can lock the gimbal on a particular point in a frame and the move the drone towards , away above or around that point and the gimbal will stay locked on the point? Currently if you have to fly toward a point of interest e.g. a house - you have to use the rocker controller to time the pan of the gimbal to manually keep the point of interest centered. Would be great if there was an automated way to this so you could focus on the flying and the gimbal would lock itself? Many thanks in advance !

Hows going...? I am a newbie. Got my drone last week. After watching lot of videos online I decided to try my drone indoors. I was really impreseed how stable this drone was indoors. All I did was taking off and then landing a few times. no manuvers at all. I then decided to take it outside one of the days, The drone was stable and really responsive and I really enjoyed those first few minutes. Also I did not fly it too high or too far away. About 40-50 ft of myself at all times. However while landing the drone, i opted for the automated landing option by using the small landing icon on the app. Somehow the drone decided to go completly at the wrong spot and crash landed into some bushes. one of the propellers on the back got damaged and the other one had a small scratch. No other damage done and the drone itself seem fine, all motors etc were fine. I used the spare propellers and correctly replaced them. All propellers are tight. No other visible issues. Then I just started the drone again indoors and it just starts drifting straight away as soon as it takes off from the ground. If i wait too long it will end up hitting the curtains.... I looked up online and did a compass calib. issue remained. Then i also did a cold IMU calib, issue still remains. I then used DJI go assistant app and reset the drone to factory settings, issue still remained. Also I have not tried flying it outdoors as am scared it will crash somewhere the way its drifting, any suggestions what else can i try...????

Nice job Timothy. I need some clarification on the stick motions. On the screen, it says left stick forward "decrease radius", left stick back "Increase radius" Right stick forward "throttle up", right stick back "throttle down". I must be missing something. You used the left stick to increase altitude "throttle up" and "throttle down" decrease altitude. To me "throttle up" means an increase in altitude. Can you please help me understand? Thanks, Bob

Hey Timothy, I have a couple of questions concerning the Mavic and Point of Interest. First, when in the POI mode, what is the lowest altitude the Mavic will maintain when you have it set to orbit the POI ? Second, what is the smallest diameter orbit will it make around the POI ? Keep up the great videos and appreciate any info on the above questions, thanks much in advance.

Using a Mavic Pro for home security. I live on a country road and have trouble from time to time with people stopping along our road and sealing things off of our neighbors or us after dark. Can you use a drown to locate parked cars along a road and give us up to date info on trespassers that are on our land or near our home after dark? We have several (14) flood lights on the outside of our home and can call neighbors and have them turn lights on also. Do you know if the DJI camera can see after dark using an auxiliary IR light or is it white light only?
