There's actually a bunch of online image to svg converters available too! Works without installation, just check google.

You can do the image to curve in blender directly. Drag image into project, right click and select "trace image to grease pencil". Then you can convert to curves and do geo nodes stuff on it

Awesome video as per! Just FYI. Sensitivity with bevel and extrude are present because you didn't apply the scale after scaling.

Hmm in my testing sensitivity seems to be the same regardless of when I’m applying the scale. It’s always been ridiculously high for all imported SVGs

This is next level! I love how you somehow managed to pack some bonus tutorials at the end that are just as good as the actual tutorial lol. I’m excited to play around with the image slicing one and have a light animate from the front to the back to highlight different elements of the image. You’re my favorite KZbinr!

@@Polyfjord at a certain level of experience, concepts begin to matter far more than technical details on the implementation. These high speed videos allow a more advanced audience to learn _very_ quickly, but I've never seen anybody else create this format before.

It's a good workflow for turning dingbat characters into scene elements as well. You can find some pretty wild and useful dingbat and shape fonts

The Color temperature node outputs a value greater than 1 in many cases. This can cause artifacts and is not in accordance with PBR, so care should be taken when using it.

Edge Split - OMG, this is the thing I've been trying to do in Blender for years! It gives me the control on curves and text that I had in LightWave - Thanks a million! :D Why is this a plugin?!? It should be in the surface settings or perhaps they could get the Auto Smooth angle working in Blender?! One day...!
