Tail: do you make rows with decreases only in the green color?

Hi there, could you just clarify something for me. once I've got to a row where I'm knitting 3 then knitting 2 together, following a pearl row I don't then K2 K2 together do I? As you can see I'm a bit lost with the decreasing. When I've completed the shaping for the head and starting the tail, I don't know how many stitches I'm knitting before knitting 2 together. I hope you understand this🤔

Hi!! Yes I understand it, but depends on the yarn and the size the you are using/making. It is not very immportant the number of sttiches that you decrease on each now, you have to be sure that you are decreasing and making the shape that you need :)

oh! let's say, if I were to cast on 80 for my hat size, when it came to decreasing would I still want to start with knit 5 and then knit 2? or would I wanna start with a larger number?

Hi!! You should start with knit 5 and a decrease, because the hat should take the rounded shape. Then make more rows with decreases, you can repeat some rows of decreases to have the shape that you want :)

It looks like you are using circular knitting needles. Would straight needles work? I cant for the life of me figure out circular
