What I did was set Z to L1, Y to L2, and I set the four tilt directions to my controller's right analogue stick. After watching this, the first fish I ended up catching was a Seaking, so thanks! It works! :D

I made shake x and shake y bound to num1 and num2. You hold both with A then release to cast and press them together to yank the fish out when it nibbles.

It's really good explain, but don't work, i can't go over 40m, or below, the " charge ", when we need to do a circular move, don't work, so i can't charge a big shot to go over 40meters .....

oye, tengo un problema y esque tiro la caña y se recoge sola, da igual si utilizo teclado, gamepad o mando de wii. Tiro la caña, llega al agua y al medio segundo vuelvo a estar como si no hubiera tirado la caña... Tengo dolphin 3.0 alguna solucion?

The only thing I can suggest is hold the buttons down for a few seconds before letting go. That's all I can remember.
