I began making the petrified forest from Nausicaa a few months ago, but I'd gotten completely stuck on the water. This helps so much! You're so good at doing this, thank you!

The cool thing about the tutorial is that you can apply the same principles in other programs, like Unreal Engine. This allows me to have water materials that are dynamic and which can be changed on run-time. Thanks!

This is my most complex shader tutorial I did. Not sure, if I fully understand most of it. Still the way you explain it, I kind of have a general idea. Planning to rewatch do it in the future. Thank you. :)

The clouds and tree at 00:20 are a actually prototypes of 100% procedural textures. They are a flat solution as opposed to 3D but because they don't use geometry you can get more details. I can get even more painterly results by adding non-procedural textures mixed in like here: imgur.com/taxp4mG I plan to release this before the end of this month so it is in the pipeline!

Hi ! I wanted to ask if anybody got problems with the #frame/8000 in the voronoi texture ? It doesn't work on my side. Just to see I tried to put the frame*0.001 in the noise of the bump like someone talked in the comments, and it worked fine. Any tips ?

Use "#frame/800" as your variable, apparantly you dont need the # in blender 2.9 so frame/800
