Great tutorial and thank you for taking the time to film it, put together into a tutorial and share with us all. I was using the same softener as you however I was also using a hair dryer and I was noticing that the softener and the hairdryer don't match together! Seeing you use the softener alone, this week I tried it without hairdryer and the results are much better. No damage to decal and it sets in place just the same. So thank you for this lesson my friend. Well done and keep the content coming!

Glad i can help! appreciate your feedback! =D there is really tones of way to do this carbon decals, but with tamiya decals this method work best and its simple.

@@JHHobby I am using HD decals and they're great. Wanted to get some Tamiya ones but with the pattern like yours were out of stock, so I got the HD instead. Works great, but would love to try the Tamiya too. I'll try ordering again in the coming days 👍🏻👍🏻

@@KarlScaleModeling i see..i just ordered HD and scalemotorsport decals..these 2 carbon pattern is nicer, hopefully it work just as nice as tamiya haha

@@JHHobby The first carbon I laid was from Scale Motorsport and it was easy to bend and take shape. Then I tried HD and found it even better to take shape of items so I kept using the HD. Pattern of HD was nicer too in my opinion. So I'm sure you'll find them easy to work with.. I'll order some Tamiya to try them out too ☺️

@@KarlScaleModeling nice! I think i go with tamiya because it is cheaper, but the more i see HD and scalemotorsport one's they are definitely better looking. That's why im a little upset with this supra built..but overall its a great experienced

It is a pretty good tutorial, thanks! I pasted the tape to a piece of cardboard and then cropped the carbon fiber piece, this to avoid damaging the decal. Just as a complement to the video.

Thanks man, it depends on the decals, some decal u can cut it before its really dry and still can peel it off..some decal will cracked if its too dry😅 so its best try to slowly cut before its fully dry

I think it's carbon fibre overkill! The guy is very good at it but first off I don't even like the carbon fibre look. Not on a whole car. I use cf decals for some parts that call for it in engine bays but I don't have the patience for it. I'm not downing your work, you do good work but my God that's a lot of patience and ongoing work! Did you carbon the inside also? Just kidding, your work rocks!
