The biggest tip those of us who have already been doing this tip can give us be patient and enjoy the process. If you mess up just look for a work around. And remember the old saying slow is smooth and smooth is fast. The slower you go the less likely to make a mistake. But they are bound to happen eventually.

Do it, they're so much fun. Just don't worry about mistakes, you'll learn as you go and not make them on future models. Start with ones you don't care about messing up, just to learn. Remember, it's just plastic & it's all for fun and you won't get discouraged. That's the main thing I've learned after starting model cars.

@@hhaste I prefer motorcycles, but I think it's better to start with something simpler, some kind of minivan with few parts =) I often read that planes or tanks are good for beginners, but that's not my thing.

Been watching your channel since the early days. Every build is of the same phenomenal standard and that might be the only reason I haven’t gotten back into making models. Built military aircraft fanatically as a kid and teen in the 80’s and early 90’s then it was all Warhammer 40k. Been over a decade not building anything. Not being able to find my current real world car in a 1:18 model kit would be the other factor 😂

I enjoyed your video and your attention to details. I have a question though. I don't have a paint booth, so what do you recommend I do for when it comes time to painting the shell of the car and larger parts?. Appreciate any feedback. Thanks!..now i'll have to go watch all your other videos for some more tips.

Great video, but personally as a beginner I would not recommend removing the parts from the sprue until needed as sometimes, bad instructions for example, it can make it difficult to ensure you have the correct part. Yes I can fully understand that sometimes you need to especially if it needs painting before assembly. Maybe take good high quality pictures of the sprues before cutting the parts off to use as a reference, or cutting parts off a sprue and placeing in individual boxes. Be very careful when scribing as some models are very thin and easy to cut right through. When adding bumpers and such to a car body for painting, I use masking tape to hold them in place as I have had models that I cannot get the body on after glueing them in place. Other than that top notch, still far better than I can do, but I just enjoy the relaxation of the build process and a finished project is a bonus.

Great video, thanks a lot for this helpful guide! I am a beginner in paintbrushing and have a question to you: When I use my sandpaper 3000 after clearcoating with very long drying time, the coat always comes off. It is like I am scraping off a rubber layer. May it be an issue of a bad clear coat product? I am using vallejo Polyurethane Gloss Varnish.

@HontubeYT6 ай бұрын
@@robg.9639 I have seen the prices, for a person like me or any other person whose income is near my family's wouldn't be able to afford even a basic kit. The best starter knives we can buy without breaking the bank would be some cheap craft knife that dulls as soon as it starts to cut cardboard. Also they rust very quickly. I check both online and nearby stationery shops for hobby essentials but most of the times they are either transported over long distances or some other very expensive case. Also I live in a part of India where it is a metropolitan region but the income is not that good. I guess, it's a hobby that I might have to let go.

Again great job! your buddy with the grey gc8 from Greece. Cheers!
