Do you notice a difference in pigmentation or saturation of color between using Rit vs food coloring? Also do you notice if the color stays more saturated when air dried vs tumble dry? My first try I used only food coloring with water, varying shades and vibrancy, tumble dried. I love how they came out, but because I would like to do a few of them super saturated color (less faint) I’m trying to figure out the best method. Maybe just add more food coloring and less water? Or is Rit dye just better? Does tumble dry also make the colors slightly less strong vs air dry? Or does that not make a difference? Hope those questions make sense! Hello, they came out all different colors. Less water more dye gave more color and I think the dryer set the color faster, so less fade when drying. It’s all about playing around and finding a method you like. I ended up using water with acrylic paint and fabric stiffer with my last ones, I love that. I think I have a video up on that too on my channel

You really didn't say the color you used or how much dye to how much water. But your colors are beautiful. I guess I'll figure it out. Don't know what kind of paint you used either

It’s all based all on preference, how saturated you want them or light, no special amount of water or dye. Play around and you’ll get just what your looking for.

What's the ratio of water to dye? Can we do more than one filter at a time?

The deep and darker the color, more dye, less water. I do about 20 at a time, but the ones in the middle aren’t as deep of a color. If you’d like them to be all the same shade. Do only a few at a time and soak them good
