Unreal what this small thing does to the experience! Flew KPSP to KPHX tonight during sunset and was amazed. Switching back and forth and seeing the original… I can never go back to that. It was way to pink and orange like sherbert ice cream. This is amazing! Early morning and sunset flights look so different but so more realistic. Noticed in SU14 notes they do some tweaking atmosphere lighting and correction. It’ll be cool to see them implement this or add to it even!

Works a treat, and looks a treat! It seems to be toning down the over-warming of the colour scheme generally. A significant improvement to all the colours, and I can confirm it works in VR too.

It no longer works with the SU14, but the msfs2020 sun set is still reddish and ugly, can this mod be updated?

It looks like Asobo is going to implement these colors into the simulator with SU14, which is due to release before the end of the year! So now these upgraded colors will be the standard!

@@mertcancaglyan7100 I’m not making anything up. I saw this in the MSFS official forms. Beta testers are showing comparison screenshots between SU13 and SU14 in testing, and have confirmed these color adjustments will be in SU14.

Very nice video, thank you, MS/Asobo in a recent Dev chat acknowledged they are aware and will resolve in MSFS2024 and possibly put a partial fix in for 2020

I'm unable to paste anything into the flight sim folder. I have maximum admin rights but there is just no way I can get access. Any ideas?

Do you have the MS store version, where do you have it installed? Normally there should be nothing blocking access to the Content folder where .exe is located.

@@goldenpilottOne idea is to try to boot windows in 'safe mode' which I think gives you more access to folders that are otherwise locked. It is strange though why your content folder is locked.

Im using SU 14 and get an error trying to start the sim after moving the files into the location as indicated

Are using SU 14 beta? If so, these files are not designed for that. SU 14 beta already has new sky colours built in. This is only for SU 13

cause you don't need it anymore fam, they color corrected the sky so the mods isn't needed

Did you follow the instructions I included where you change 2 values in the .ini file from false to true? Did you also drag the .ini file into the Conent folder with the other 2 files? If so, that is strange. I am not sure it work but in the .ini file, you could try changing where INSERT is written in the .ini file to another button such as HOME. It might not work but it is worth a try. Let me know out of curiosity and plus it might help others with the same issue.

I would strongly recommend deleting these files before updating. The new update will have updated sky colours built in so you may no longer need this mod.

It doesn't make any changes to the sky in my sim. I turned on the toggle function, but there was no difference in the sky when pressing ctrl-ins.

The video was made in October 2023 so yes. And yes for Steam. However SU 14 comes out soon which will have this feature built in by default.

No need for the tweak anymore, Asobo have since incorporated these lighting adjustments into the sim

No, you just drag the three files in, and then it is on by default each time. The toggle option is completely optional.

I really wish that they'd of opened up the weather stuff so that REX could have worked their magic on the clouds, sky, rain and lightning, like they did in FSX/P3D. I still haven't figured out a logical reason why they never did this.
