Great tutorial, can't wait to get mine next week. Are you able to still do a test/preview run to see if the pan, tilt, and distance is the correct amount before starting the time lapse?

Great video! I just wrote syrp a few days ago and they dont recommend to use the genie mini upside down with heavier cams than a gopro. I think the bracket and the second genie mini are heavier alone. What is your experience on this? Thank you!

Great tutorial, also simple and clean explanation of the workflow from location to lrtimelapse to final export. What is the reason you do not export with LRtimelapse before putting it to premiere for stabilization?

You could do that as well, but I feel like I get a little bit more control and quality when doing it in Lightroom (usually I do 16 bit TIFFs).

That is stunning. how well does the slingshot do in any kind of wind or with long astrophotography exposures?
@SyrpLab
@SyrpLab 7 жыл бұрын
Hey Shannon, As with any cable cam system, wind can cause some movement in the carriage. It's best to use the Slingshot in minimal wind, although you can stabilise your shot in post. You can see an example of an astro time-lapse here: facebook.com/syrp.co.nz/videos/vb.137548259678664/872187966214686/?type=2&theater. Thanks!

Have you used the slingshot with the Genie II? If so, how did you handle the mounting or the rope?
@SyrpLab
@SyrpLab 5 жыл бұрын
Hi, Yes Genie II Linear works with the slingshot exactly the same way as the original Genie does. With Genie II you do not need the Slingshot linear plate you just screw in the GII Linear straight on top and then attach rope to either end. Hope that helps, let me know if you need more info.

Controlling a camera through a phone is not professional A cheap way of doing things, but the final product will look plain silly.

He was controlling the SYRP gear on the phone app, not his camera. Which is how you are meant to use it ! Look at 5.30 where he set the camera settings manually.
