Becoming Air Assault qualified and Australian rappelling was one of my best times in the Army. Not to forget slingloading.

Thanks. A light tee would have made it easier to see the black rope.

We could see the knot(and something additional) more clearly if you did not wear black shorts with a black rope.

That Swiss seat wouldn't pass inspection at all, for several reasons. The halfway point goes on the non-dominant side, not in back. You take the one end around behind your back to the front and then use the other end to make the twizzle. That's why the one end was almost too short to make the front security knot at the finish. The two seat lines are too far apart. That might be how it feels good to you, but it isn't corps correct. The lines should be on the back pockets of your trousers (or in his case with the shorts, about centered on the but cheeks) neither too close to the center, nor too wide apart. Yours are too wide apart. That square knot should be on your side, not any where near the center front. The two pretzel knots you did should be snugged up to the square knot securely. At inspection, your carabiner would be pushed toward the knot and if it touches the knot, yet another fail. People should check other tutorials for the proper technique and forget this one altogether.

Note he is showing this for jrtc competition. If doing this for real, properly cut and seal your rope, use a proper overhand knot as stopper knots, tied tight against the square knot, and use a proper locking carabiner.
