Can the # 24 free embroidery foot be used on a bernina activa 130?
@lindyloo816 жыл бұрын
I have a Bernina 1008 sewing machine, yes, it's quite old but l was wondering whether there are any accessories to do this type of free motion embroidery with this model that l could purchase please?
@BerninaInternational6 жыл бұрын
Dear Linda, thanks for asking. Many of the feet shown in the video above are compatible with your BERNINA 1008. For full compatibility information please refer to our accessory catalog: www.bernina.com/en-US/Support-US/Product-Catalogs As you can see on page 2 of the PDF, the BERNINA 1008 belongs to category A. All feet that are listed with an "A" on the following pages are compatible with your machine. This is the case for the Darning foot #9, the Free-motion embroidery foot #24 and the Quilting foot #29. Embroidery foot #15 is not compatible with the BERNINA 1008. Happy stitching! Kind regards from Switzerland

I have Bernina 475, I can’t click on foot number nine, there is no star on any other feet, it gives me no options but foot #1. How can I select #9? Thank you
@BerninaInternational9 ай бұрын
Hi Sarah, thanks for asking. The B 475 QE has no presser foot selection, just a presser foot overview that shows which foot to use for which stitch.

What would be the best foor to get for making fabric post cards with card stock.
@BerninaInternational4 жыл бұрын
This is truly personal preference, but I would propose starting with the clear Quilting Foot #29 or even the Echo-Quilting Foot #44C to prevent the fabric(paper) from "flagging" or tendency to want to raise up with the needle movement. Both of these feet are clear and provide nice visibility as well. www.bernina.com/en-US/Accessories-US/Presser-Feet/Quilting/Echo-quilting-and-CutWork-foot-44C

I have foot 15. Can I do free motion embroidery instead of using foot 24?
@BerninaInternational4 жыл бұрын
Free motion embroidery is possible with all hopper feet, there are just slight differences. The advantage of foot 24 is the opening at the front of sole, offering an unobstructed view of the needle penetration point.

Will this foot work on a Record 830 circa 1979?
@BerninaInternational4 жыл бұрын
Dear Christine, many of our presser feet are compatible with older machines, even with the 830 record model that was built in the seventies. For full compatibility information please refer to our accessory catalog: www.bernina.com/en-US/Support-US/Product-Catalogs As you can see on page 2 of the PDF, there are diffeerent machine categories. The 830 record belongs to categoy A (it is not listed in the catalog; due to lack of space we only list the more recent models).

My Artista 730 embroidery foot #26 does not hop anymore. Is there some way too remedy and get it hopping again 😜 it?
@BerninaInternational4 жыл бұрын
Possibly the spring is damaged or jammed. Please get in touch with your BERNINA. Hopefully he will be able to get it hopping again 😊.

@@BerninaInternational the pressure foot will not lower enough either in regular sewing or in embroidery where hopping foot will not hop....stays up about 1/4"...saddened my dealer is so far away but will make the trip if absolutely necessary. Looks like tooth is broken from right know that controls pressure feet. ☹️. I'm sure parts are not readily available.

@@sandrabutcher5131 Dear Sandra, we're sorry to hear that. But if you can't lower the presser feet to normal sewing or embroidery position, there is indeed something wrong and should definitely get in touch with your dealer.

Do you bring up the bobbin thread and do you lower the feed dog when darning in the hoop?
@BerninaInternational7 жыл бұрын
Dear Maggie, yes, you should lower the presser foot, like it is shown in the video. It is helpful to bring up the bobbin thread in order to have a clean start. Kind regards from Switzerland

Wish you were telling us what to do. I have low vision and writing was very hard to see. Maybe a different font or color writing would help

Hi Sandi, thanks for your comment and for the interest in our videos! We use written words instead of voice-over on some of our videos because text inserts make it possible to stop the video and still read the instructions. Plus, they make our videos understandable for the hearing impaired and on devices (e.g. smart phones) with the sound turned off. That being said, there are also lot of videos on our channel with spoken instructions. We also use a different font on a dark background on our newer videos. This should make it easier to read the text. Kind regards from Switzerland
