TUTORIAL - I-Cord edge on Stockinette stitch fabric

Hello! Hurray! I've finally met someone that knits & purls just like me!!! I've learned to knit with my aunt during the 1970's World Cup, when I was seven! I remember her insisting hard on making me work the stitches the right way, but when she realized that my work was still coming out looking okay, she just told me to keep it up, hehehe! Do you know if there is an actual name for the way we work our stitches?
