Tutorial - KDE Plasma Theme (with blur) - Manjaro Linux

*I installed the theme manually bc for some reason it didn't work properly installing it from the global theme section on settings, maybe it's a bug on my OS idk... anyways if it works for you installing it from there, great.

If you don't see those folders in .local, you just gotta go to Settings - Global Themes - Download new themes, and choose 1 of those that show up first and install it (no need to apply the theme, just install it), so it's gonna create automatically all those folders you need, then you do what i show in the video.
You might notice sometimes the dock or window decorations will look different all of a sudden, it's not bugged it's just that i had some issues recording so i had to edit in a different order.
If there's something on the video i didn't show how i did that, it was because it's probably on my last video already.
I found out this new theme that is supposed to be of Windows 10, but it looks way nicer, i just changed the windows buttons for the ones from the theme called Harmony (same developer btw), so it looks less like windows 10.
So i got tired of my last desktop layout, the global menu wasn't working very well so i wanted to get rid of the top bar and have some more screen, also the latte dock was pissing me off because of some bugs, anyways this time i decided to make a dock using the KDE default bar, that works way better and i can have the system tray without taking so much space from the app icons area. The clock i had to set to the top of the screen with auto-hide, but it's still convenient, at least to me.

The advantage in kde is that everyone can have a kde only for yourself. I have my colors to my system, my theme with icons made by myself and others looks that I created to my personal use. It's my kde and It's beautiful and wonderful to me.

I can't help but I changed my default app icon on Pop OS.. there's a folder on /usr/share/icons/THEME ... you should search for the icon you want to change there.. if the theme doesn't use it the default folder (in gnome) is: gnome.. or.. hicolor.. hope it gives you an insight

I don't know in his case, but in my Linux Mint, i acess the .theme folder, find the theme i'm currently using, find the CSS file and update the things i want. To do that, you (or somebody else) have to know a little bit of CSS.

Thanks! the theme folder does come with a .sh file you can execute and it should install almost everything automatically, but it didn't work out to me, so i did it manually

Depending on your budget, your use case, and where you live there's various options I would recommend that you take a look at. If you have a small budget, then options for laptops include: Lenovo ThinkPad T420/T430, or separately the very specific T440P model (Refurbished Models) Lenovo ThinkPad X210/X210i, X220/X220i/X220 Tablet, X230 & lastly the X240, they all have options for expandable docks and media bays which are really nice. (Refurbished Models) Dell Precision M-series Workstation Laptops, M4X00 or M6X00 models such as the M4400 or M6700 are great options for powerhouse devices. (Refurbished Models) And lastly the PineBook or PineBook Pro by Pine64 (New) these are lower power, and, lower performance but high portability and very low budget devices sold new, these wouldn't be my first option for someone looking for a machine to use for anything more than Internet browsing and basic documents, but they are Pro-Linux as. Business, support is all community based. Desktops, well, with desktops your best off knowing your exact budget, including if you need a monitor, mouse, keyboard included or not, then looking at what you want to do with the system and aim for a OEM Pre-Built refurbished system like a HP Z600 Dual-Xeon system for example, then adding a decent GPU to it. Most of the desktop stuff is very user specific, so I'd need more information in order to advise further in that regard. Things like region, purchasing currency, use case, skill level, willingness to build yourself, etc.
