I found having the seat all the way back on the post lines up better with the pedals, making it easier to pedal. I had it forward originally so that the reach to the handle bars was more comfortable, but now that I did the handle bar mod that you did on your wife's bike, that is no longer an issue.

The FMFXTR are good posts if you want to stick with original seat hardware, I do carry a 13mm spanner in case it bottom out and seat loses clamp setting and plays rocking chair, making riding nightmare if caught out W/O a wrench

again i have to thank you for helping with my change on my step thru. Unfortunately i'm sadden by the fact that i can't upgrade my seat post because I'm just too darn short at 5'1". so the most i can upgrade is the seat to Cloud 9, but you video helped a lot in helping with my aniexty in trying to do it right. Thanks again for videoing all these little changes it really helps for people like me who have to look up the word "tool" -- just kidding... oh i wanna complain &vent about Lectric small lie they tell people. i don't know how a 4' 10" can stand over the seat when i'm 5' 1" and i'm stand over the standard seat & post on my tip toe.

Hi. Just wanted to let others know that my zoom suspension clamp holding my cloud 9 seat attached to my Lectric XP fell apart after 2 years. Luckily, I was in my driveway after a ride when it happened. I could get a replacement part for $20 but now I'm spooked at how the bolts just snapped unexpectedly. I could have really been hurt. I will look at another type of connection.

Can you remove the circular bolt mechanism that holds the seat onto the Lectric post on the original post and use that to bolt the Cloud 9 seat to the Lectric bike?

Do you mean sliding the seat? I would just adjust it to whatever is the most comfortable for you.

Yeah I’m not really sure what you mean because you can’t angle the seat post any differently than whatever angle the seat post tube is. You can however tilt the seat forward or backward On the seatpost.

Is the zoom seat post better than the upgraded post that comes with the comfort package? I want to change out the seats for sure. The comfort seat is horrible. Just don’t know about the post, if I should switch that out as well.

I would say the quality is better and I would prefer the zoom post over the Lectric post however the Lectric post does work just fine and I would start with the seat And go from there if it’s still uncomfortable.

I have just received my zoom suspension seat post. It didn't come with any instructions. There's barely any suspension movement when trying to push it inwards. I'm guessing that the allen adjustment at the bottom of the post should alter the tension, but it doesn't seem to. I can't find where you explained this, if you have, after searching through twice now.

Yes you can adjust it slightly with that screw in the bottom and you probably won’t be able to push it down until it is installed in the bike.

You have to Loosen the 2 mounting bolts enough that the teeth on the circle part slip past each other if that makes sense. Then adjust and retighten.

Yes you can put mirrors on them. Lectric actually sells mirrors or you can get a bar end mirror like the one I show in my accessories video.

Yes you are correct but it also changes your reach.

Thank you for all your great videos on the Lectric eBikes. I’m looking at purchasing a pair for my wife and I. Trying to decide between two walk thru’s or an XP and a walk thru. Can you think of any reasons why I would want the XP over the walk thru. Like accessory limitations etc. Was leaning toward two walk thru’s so the batteries were the same and could be shared.

Yes that is correct. The short one is for the step through but if you’re a tall person you could probably purchase the long one and use it for the step through as well.

Are these seat posts adjustable regarding the stiffness or "cushiness" of the cylinders? Some automobile shock absorbers can be manually adjusted for ride stiffness. Can these posts be adjusted likewise for stiffness? If so, how?

If your seat post is only 27 then you got the wrong one you should’ve purchased the 31.6. You can buy a shim to put in there to make up the difference for a few dollars.

This was a great tutorial, I'm going to purchase the parts now after watching this video. How much longer is the stem from the original Lectric XP 2.0? As a short rider, the current seat height is nearly at the lowest already. Also, I've also heard the wear and use of the zoom suspension don't have longevity as it rides on the trail. Do you still recommend it?

As a shorter rider you will be perfectly fine with the zoom post and I actually like it better than the lectric post in my opinion. Resume post is about 150 mm longer. 500mm vs 350mm.

This is the first I heard about it I just checked them out and they seem pretty nice but they don’t come with the fenders and it looks like there may be a shipping charge. Good news SHORT PEOPLE!! I needed to update my previous comment. if you are short like 5'1" there is hope for you yet! You can have a comfy seat & suspension seat post. It seems I didn't adjust/measure my seat height correctly. So following KZbin millions of available videos, I adjusted it and it seems i have like over 4 inches of clearance needed for a suspension seat post. Still need to tweak some more things like actually riding what i have right now... but there's HOPE!!! (maybe I might actually not need it to change anything...ooh... i've been spending & modding like crazy!!)
