@Magnenaut Haha I know what you mean. If it isn't strong enough, I suppose it'd be possible to make the struts of the octahedron 4x4 instead of 3x3. And I forgot about that. You would need so much scaffolding for such a large shape. If you have any Neoballs or anything non Zen, those are good to use. Also, Once the edges have been built up, you can take quite a bit of the scaffolds out. You won't be able to use all of your magnets, but you'd come pretty close!

Awesome work as usual!!

@jasonbarnes711 Assuming it's strong enough to be built, anyway. And it'd be impossible to use *all* of my magnets, because of the scaffolding required. Still, I kinda want to give it a shot now.

Hello. Your videos are pretty cool, but I just couldn’t make the triangles with the 17x2 or 18x3 or 18x2 because the edges keep lifting and/or coming off and not aligning with the rest of the shape. Another thing is I have no idea how to “change” the polarity. How is that done?

@Magnenaut I imagine it would just take a while. A VERY LONG while. But As long as you were careful and had your math right, there's no way you couldn't do it.

Awesome dude! I want to buy Mandala's pack, oh if I had the money... haha Keep on doing videos =)

I'd like to see this using the 10,000 magnets I know you have. I have a feeling it just might actually support itself. If not, you could always make the struts 4x4 instead.

@jasonbarnes711 Oh man, now *that* would be difficult. I might just have to try that some time!

How did you make the triangles what core did you start off with?

I'm assuming you started off with a irregular hexagon but how do you figure it out for any given side count?

Great video - inspiring! You can also build this octahedron frame simply using four triangular subunits - no scaffolding required. See my tutorial video.
