I find the one with the fake blurry background to be hilariously smart.

Jaw literally dropped at the gravity-based dolly control. Can’t believe that works. Absolutely amazing! Thank you so much for giving this knowledge to indie filmmakers.

Sir your work is inspirational, I've watched so many of your videos, I cant remember which i've seen and which I haven't, however I have learned so much from your videos, it makes me want to come and meet you personally.... Love your work, absolutely astonishing, all looks like major production stuff, only to disocver that a lot of it is low budget. I particularly like the video about filters and how to use them... Top Class information, you obviously have an unlimited ampunt of experience and I thenk ou for sharing you expertise. Have an amazing day.

Thank you so much for this Me and some friends are looking into filing something wildly over ambitious and beyond our budget and the idea of using miniatures especially to fake a large set we couldn't afford is really inspiring to me, as are all these ideas. We're talking about filming a war movie. I've been studying "Paths Of Glory" to see how Kubrick did it. I think if we have a big ditch we can make it look like a dugout or trench With a clever use of miniatures and lighting I think we could do get some establishing shots that actually look like a battlefield - do you think this is feasible? I think with clever use of the camera and some smoke and lighting we could get away with it I enjoy all your videos, thanks for them

These are great! Very ingenious. But one thing to be pointed out is that most of these examples were done in the 90's. Today's audience is more aware. Especially in locked shots with wipes, it's much more obvious today than it was in the 90's. Because every shot today is moving. But great tips nonetheless.

For the Chip ad, the camera with the matte box is a Black Magic Cinema camera or 4K Cinema camera. It has a max of 30fps can you kindly elaborate on the high-speed camera or was this shot just a recreated b-roll shot to explain the shallow depth of field?

you'd lose the parallax movement of the shot, therefore it's a lot less pleasing and definitely looks a lot cheaper
