So glad i found this instruction. I have only done embroidery a few times and each time have been intimidated by the machine. makes me nervous. :) Ive moved to NC and the closest Bernina shop is 35 miles away so cannot always get there. Thank you for posting and would love to see more on selecting and downloading patterns to the B790 machine :)

When you say Embroidery Needle SUK - is it the 70/10 ? Thank you!

Hello Carol, SUK Needles come in various sizes. It depends on what fabric and thread you are working with. Size 70/10 is more for fine fabrics.

Is a Bernina 790 upgraded with the plus software the same as a Bernina 790 Plus? are there any differences in funtionality?

Hi Ellis H, thanks for asking. Yes, a B 790 that is upgraded with the PLUS Upgrade Kit is the same as a BERNINA 790 PLUS. There are not differences in functionality. An upgraded B 790 will also include the BERNINA Midi Hoop which isn't part of the B 790 PLUS' standard accessory package.

Hallo Hammel Bammel, es handelt sich um ein Firmware-Upgrade, welches an der Maschine ausgeführt wird. Für die BERNINA 790 und 880 können die zusätzlichen Funktionen mit dem Embroidery PLUS Upgrade-Kit gekauft werden.
