Great tutorial. I had been using Lee beam scale for years and my shooting results were getting better. To speed things us, I switched to a cheap electronic jewellery scale that measured to the 1/100th of a grain and I was good. Then, that broke down and I switched to my Ohaus electronic scale that measured up to a 1/10th of a grain but in steps of 0.2 and have observed a drop in accuracy (consistency, really) when shooting my rifle, so I will be reverting to the Lee beam scale after that.

This scale came with my kit. My eyes just couldn't pick up the tiny lines to match up. I bought an RCBS.

Thank you for showing the details on how to use this scale. I use my balance beam scale from RCBS to check every tenth throw from my powder thrower. I rarely use it to weight every charge unless I am running a small batch and don't want to set up a powder thrower. The problem I have with the RCBS 5-0-5 is the little weight for the 10ths gets bumped by the pan hanger. I may very well buy one of the Lee safety scales after watching this video.

Great vid. I ordered a Lee scale from MidwayUSA last night for $18 and change...couldn't pass it up. All I need now is primers and I'll be good to go.

Great video Hannibal! I’ve got one of these but swapped it out for a digital pretty quick. They’re great for small batches but I was always doing 100s at a time. 😉

@@redneckreloader I bought a digital scale just to double check my weight. In the world of statistical analysis, using two different types of scale reduces the chance of an error by a lot. So if my digital scale and my balance beam show the correct weight, I have a much smaller chance of being wrong. Just the engineer in me showing his OCD.

Good job, I have the lee scale. Went to buy powder primers and projectiles. All the supplies were gone from everywhere. That was when the riots and Scamdemic started.

Yeah, it's been a rough year. I'm just now seeing powder and primers back on the shelf. These shortages happen from time to time. So, get your supplies this year, and the next shortage you will be all set!!!!!!
