Does the Fenrir ODE not allow you to play games from different regions natively? Is there a way to configure the region bios in the emulator, or do you have to have an Action Replay cart as well?

You have to have the Action Replay. The ODE makes your Saturn think you're using a real disc once the game boots. The saturn will only play games associated with the Saturn's region. Using an Action Replay will help you deal with that.

I have a question for you and I hope you can help me. So I have a sega saturn model 1 and when it boots up it says "drive door open" even tho the tray is closed. I think that might be the reason why when I put a disc in it doesn't play. I even replaced the laser but no luck. Do you have any idea what could be problem?

You could try replacing the ribbon if you have already replaced the laser. However, if the Saturn specifically states the drive door is open, I would take it apart and see if the tray mechanism on the motherboard is working properly. On the model 2 it's a pillar with a piece that either touches the pillar (driver door closed) or doesn't (driver door open). What I would do is check that first before buying anything else.

@@Magneteco okay if you're talking about the 20-pin ribbon, I actually already replaced that 2 days ago but still no luck. When I take apart how can I test if the tray mechanism is working properly? Plus somebody else told me I should get some rubbing alcohol and scrub everything down in the motherboard would you recommend that?

@driley1988 You leave the top portion of the Saturn shell off and you press the little plastic piece in with your fingers. If you're not comfortable with that I'd recommend wearing some rubber gloves. Press the disc mechanism in and start the Saturn. See what results you get. Also I will always recommend cleaning up a system. Use Isopropyl alcohol and clean away! I have a video on that if you need a visual.

@@Magneteco I have watched the video but it looks like that's the 2nd model you have. For 1st model is built completely different in the inside. I just tried to clean it all with alcohol and still no luck. At this point I don't know what else do and I just feel like giving up and throw the thing away.
