Sega Saturn was a 2D console that did 3D, that's why.
@migueldias85464 жыл бұрын
@@khanv1ct244 And what the people forget is that SEGA is a japanese company. So of course, it was first influenced by its culture and people's behavior. The Saturn was supposed to capitalized on the growing succes of Arcade centers in Japan. Most of the games were 2D so the Saturn was initially planned as mostly a 2D system. 3D came after, because of Sony. It's because it was added to a 2D architecture that the Saturn was difficult to program for 3D games... Let's not forget that we are not talking about today's 3D too... Of course games look amazing on modern systems. mowadays, but go back to the first Playstation games and tell me what you rather play, a primitive 3D Playstation game or a beautiful 2D game on Saturn? Yep, after a war, it's easy to pick up the winner...

WOW I had no idea you could even de-yellow old white electronics like this. I thought the yellow fading was permanent. Awesome!
@Rowgue514 жыл бұрын
It is permanent. This process just essentially bleaches the very outer surface for the very short term. You don't even need the UV light strips. That's just something youtubers do to make it look like some highly technical process. It's really no different than gargling with hydrogen peroxide to whiten your teeth. The yellowing will return very quickly unless you keep the console completely shielded from light, and even then it will yellow again within a few months at best.
@hudz483 жыл бұрын
@@Rowgue51 hes explained before that it makes it work quicker. 😐 If he only added it for visuals then it’s real shit looking don’t you think 🙄
@Rowgue513 жыл бұрын
@@hudz48 First off you would get the same result with just hydrogen peroxide, but decomposing the hydrogen peroxide does speed up the process significantly. However UV light is by far the least efficient and slowest method of achieving decomposition. He's already using electricity which is by far the most efficient method of providing the energy needed for decomposition. UV light is an alternative method of providing that energy but an incredibly inefficient and slow method that has no statistically significant impact on the speed of the process when you're already using heat and/or electricity to accomplish decomposition. It's just something companies add to their kits to make them seem more technical and more impressive; and something youtubers love to show because they think it makes them appear all "sciency". But it's such an irrelevant part of the system that it's almost purely for show.

Odd, Best Relaxing Asmr is STILL stealing your videos and still getting ad revenue on it. Please see this comment.

@@betaanalog300 No no, OP is correct. I just checked. B.R. ASMR is literally stealing Odd's videos and putting them on their channel.

I would like to note to anyone trying to dissasemble consoles like these, be careful when touching the power supply. I was trying to troubleshoot a dead Original Xbox once and I had the console disassembeled while still plugged in. I accidentally nuged the power supply while reaching in and nearly passed out from the electric shock. Please be careful, power supplys kill.

I actually JUST did a recap on a Game Gear, and it's a bunch of SMD soldering. I've seen a dozen videos on it (the Retro Repairs guy has a pretty good one I think). Now, if he installed a McWill mod and and a lipo battery pack I would be down for watching that because a lot of the videos skip steps on those just because of how long they take to do.
