Kinda one of the reasons why I'm doing, making this is a chance to revisit the basics myself.

Isn’t it great that even given the age of the game that there’s still a reason for useful content and also always something to (re)learn?

I usually play on creative mode, mainly due to a lot of survival tutorials being either too vague or too much info for me to process. Found this yesterday, and it's the perfect blend of info and length. Looking forward to seeing more in this series.

Thanks for the encouragement skitz, it's hard to gauge whether my spin on it is getting the right balance, so appreciate the feedback.

I have a lot of time in SE and I still enjoy these sorts of series. Also... I know Ares At War is the 'advanced' scenario, but I think Agaris was a better done and tighter put together scenario.

I made this for new players, so really appreciate a positive response from those who have some experience in the game. I enjoyed the Ares at War, but I get what you mean.

Glad you are sharing your SE knowledge. It is obvious that you know this hard to learn game as it has a lot to learn without any real guidance.

My hope for this series is you doing a multi player with Future Wellington6012 and dare I wish, Past Wellington6012 too. (If he's not still trapped in the time continuum)

Also how did you place the iron bock? Crouch? Maybe as you are pressing a key(s) have a highlight in a corner like you did the V etc .

It would be interesting to cover how to start a survival scenario with friends. At the beginning of my SE journey I lost some potential players because of my lack of knowledge setting factions most of all... vanilla game. Just few minutes right after buying the game xd

I'm a few years and [too many] thousands of hours in, and I still haven't done any multi player to speak of (except my second PC for extra camera). But you make a good suggestion, might be a good follow up series how to navigate starting on an online world, and staying hidden while getting established.

Keen really needs to organize these starts by level of difficulty.
@Wellington601214 күн бұрын
Agree, making this video was the first time I really looked at the new start screen format and as hinted, it became apparent to me keen have not got the categorisation correct at all. Even just differentiating between scenarios and content demonstration worlds would be a good start.

How can I keep the right mouse button pressed automatically (drill destruction mode)?
@Wellington601215 күн бұрын
While holding down the RMB, hit K or I to go into the control panel, let go of RMB and escape out again, the drill should still be on and stay in destroy mode.

Double click it. This also works for mining mode and the other tools.
@Wellington60127 күн бұрын
@ Actually you're right, double clicking works for hand drills doesn't it. The menu hack is for the ship drills.
