건담마커는 신나 계열이 아니라 알콜성계열입니다. 그래서 평소 쓰는신나론 빡빡 문질러야 지워야 지워집니다. 보통 마커지우실땐 마커지우게,약국의 소독용 알콜,에탄올로도 지워집니다. 동영상의 패널라인 액센트 지우실때도 먹선부위만 지워지고 도색 부분만 남은것도 그 이유중 하나입니다. (패널=신너 도색= 마커=알콜계)

dk Y 네 맞습니다 하지만 락카신나에는 결국 다 녹구요 도료자체는 락카인데 희석할때 알콜을 쓰면 앙금이 생겨 사용을 못하게 됩니다^^ 세척이나 지울때는 알콜을 사용해도 무관합니다. 아마 알콜성 이라는건 악취때문에 기본적으로 알콜로 희석되있는거 같아요 대중적으로 사용을 위한 배려인듯?? 건조후에는 결국 락카와 동일해집니다 :)

dk Y 저도 이부분이 헛갈려서 실험을 해보니 락카도색위에 건담마카를 계속붓질하면 락카가 다 녹아버리더군요?? 조금 신기한건 일반락카가 에나멜신너에는 안녹지만 알콜에는 녹는다는점이죠. 결론은 건담마커를 희석할때는 반듯이 신너락카를 사용해야합니다 :)

제대로 설명하자면 아크릴 계열이 맞습니다. 아마도 마커의 특성상 도료가 굳는걸 방지하기 위해 다른 첨가제가 섞여서 그런거로 파악됩니다. 그리고 아크릴은 건조가 되는경우 아크릴 신너에 녹지가 않습니다. 때문에 락카 신너를 이용하는게 더 용이 한것뿐이지 원래 마커가 락카 계열의 도료는 아닙니다.

Dennis Liew I think his tutorials are great. Just know that he builds, paints, etc in his own *style* (heh), but it isn't the only way to do things. You can do all of that with what you think is best. If you are new to GunPla, you don't have to paint kits. Start with with learning and experiencing how to cut parts and clean parts first. Then Worry about putting on stickers correctly & panel lining. Then if you're more confident and used to GunPla, try things like dry transfer decal, water slide decal, using paint/Gundam Marker/air brushing. You don't have to make all model kits look amazing. Just do what you can with the tools, money, and time you have and just enjoy it as much as possible. =)

I can answer this if you're still wondering. Isopropyl Alcohol works so sometimes I tend to use hand sanitizer for itif I don't have the actual bottle of it at hand.

I highly advise not to use gundam markers for painting, and I also highly advise to prime your models. Imagine painting on lego bricks, sooner or later that paint is going to fall right off if you pick the model up in the wrong way. Priming gives the base coat something to stick to allowing for your paint to have a lot better of a foundation on the plastic. Another issue with his painting technique is that he is using too big of brushes, too thick of coats, and cleaning up mistakes unneccesarily. The issue is, is that you won't always be able to clean up like he did at 2:30

I also recommend using Acrylics as it is water based and if you plan on painting your models a lot through your life, it's a lot better for your health as Enamel paints release unneccesary fumes. Advice from a fulltime model painter, not just gunpla.

whoa whoa whoa I'm freaking the heck out about that panel line job. So is there a base difference between the panel line accent color you used and the paint you used? In my experience something like this would have made a dark mark on the yellow paint. Is it a super special kind of substance that dries super slow? I must know this will save me so many hours!!!

the gundam marker is lacquer based, and panel line accent color is enamel. If you paint over a dark surface with a bright color and the color seem a bit dark you can use his technique by using flat white as the base before you put the bright color.

Vensky, this guy doesn't seem to be the best at painting. The sad thing is to be a proper model painter you need experience on both ends, not just gunpla. Here's how it should go down, always prime your gunpla as most model kits do not need priming, but gunpla plastic is super slippery, imagine painting on lego bricks. It's a lot easier to take off paint that way. Priming gives a foundation for the base layers. Typically if you are going for darker colours prime with grey or black. If you are going for bright, prime with white. You can hand prime or spray, I recommend airbrushing but if you can't do that get a can of model primer white. Normal paint is shit for models. Do not apply coats as thick as this guy, I also recommend acrylic paints as you only need to thin with water and they are a ton healthier for you to breathe. The difference for the light on dark is because it can tone down that colour, leading it to be a dark red rather than if you wanted it to be a light red. Where as just having the piece primed white will keep that light red light. You know what I mean? Enough about priming, about panel lining. If you use what is called a "wash" it helps immensely. Over in Asia it is common to use gundam markers because they do not have the amount of washes we have over here in the West. I recommend using vallejo and such

지금까지 건담마커 도료가 소독용 알콜에 잘 녹길래 소독용 알콜에 희석해서 사용했었는데 알고보니 락카계 도료라서 보통은 희석시 락카 신너를 사용한다구요? 그대로 계속 알코올을 사용해도 도료 사용에 문제는 없는걸까요? 냄새도 덜하고 훠얼씬 싼 약국 소독용 알코올 사용에 단점이 있다면 그래도 바꾸려구요ㅠㅠ

알콜로 사용하셔도 큰 문제는 없습니다~ 다만 락카신나가 건조가 조금더 빠르고 도료를 조금더 잘 녹인다는 장점이 있을뿐 입니다 ~ 알콜의 경우 희석량이 묽어지면 도료에 앙금이 생기는 특이한 현상이 종종 있는데 저도 알콜써봐서 아는데 큰 문제는 없습니당~ 저의 판단으로는 건담마카라는놈은 수성과 유성의 중간 느낌이 좀 강합니다. 그래서 도색을 하다보면 컬러가 지혼자 막 2개의 층으로 분리되고 색도 막 변하고 암튼 넖은면적 붓도색으로는 정말 추천드리지 않는 놈입니다;;; 얇게 칠하기도 힘든 놈이죠;;;

I recommend you watch tank painting tutorials as the techniques here are A 100 TIMES BETTER, then a lot of these gunpla youtubers. Same concept, paint, apply wash (or "panel-line") issue is, he missed a lot of stuff, he didn't prime, his cleaning mistakes that do not have to be made, there are a lot of issues here.
