From what I could see, I really like this project. Your explanations are very clear and well thought out. I agree with other comments about the distance from the camera and the difficulty with seeing detail. Even if you don't get around to another full video of this, could you put up a few close up photos of the most important steps? That would be enough to round out the video. Thanks and congrats from a new subscriber!

Securing the crossed 18g wires before adding the stone is a much better technique than I've been taught. TY!!

I'm loving your videos. Please keep them coming. I would love to see them progress into a video on making some pendants and rings. Thanks for your time & efforts.
@RaftarkJewelry5 жыл бұрын
@@gbridger9177 Thank you! I have done one ring tutorial so far and have plans for a more advanced one in the works. For now I plan on focusing more on individual techniques and settings for pendants than actual pendant walk-throughs. I may put together a walk-through at some point though!

Was also thinking, why can’t the camera show the screen bigger? For us to see it’s better...the work you showing us need more lighter or bring the camera closer. But I love how patient you are with us.. and explaining us the right way to make it’s like like the one you showing us..we love your work...just the camera too far for us an screen it small. Thank you it’s a beautiful work you making.. thank you 😊

Thanks so much for the tutorial, I can't quite tell what way you insert the two half round wires into the larger outside round wires, do you insert the half round wires with both flat sides touching so they are flush together, or was one more on top?
@sallyAS44195 жыл бұрын
Good video. Would you use this technique & the same size wires for smaller or larger stones?
@RaftarkJewelry5 жыл бұрын
It can definitely be done with larger or smaller wires to accommodate larger or smaller stones. I would go down a size or two for anything smaller that 2mm and a size up for larger than 4mm

As, I know I've said before , I love all your videos. Your wire work and your incredible ability to articulate what you are doing are amazing. I do have a question about the weave setting. Will this setting work with small cabs? Would you modify anything to do it with cabs? Thank you!
@RaftarkJewelry5 жыл бұрын
It will definitely work for smaller cabs or faceted stones. The smallest I have tried was with 1mm faceted or 2mm cabs, but if you are adventurous enough I'm sure it could be done with smaller! I would size down your wires a bit for anything much smaller, maybe 20 or 22g half round with 30g weaving if the stones are exceptionally small. try a few different combos and see what works best for you!

Please redo the video using wide screen setting. And have the camera view closeup so we can see the fine detail. Great instruction. Thanks

These are filmed on my cell phone, so there is some limit to what I have the ability to do with them. I did pick up a macro lens so i will be able to do high detail close ups in future videos! All of these videos are much more viewer friendly on a cell phone than on a computer screen, it counter acts the goofy framing a bit. I will try filming in landscape mod for future videos!
@eruis31395 жыл бұрын
I liked the video and would like to see more of your work, but it was a bit out of focus,and too far from the camera. Also instead of using such a dark background maybe use a lighter one, that may help in seeing what your doing better.😊

There is a limit to what the camera on my phone can do, but I will try a new setting for the next one! I picked up a macro lens so at the very least I will be able to provide some in focus close ups next time. I appreciate the feedback!

Are the flat sides facing down or both wires' flat side facing the stone?

Can you do this with round wire?
@RaftarkJewelry5 жыл бұрын
Of course! I use the half round wires because I find it to work better for me. The lower profile of the wire on top of the stones helps make the setting secure without covering too much of the stone. That being said, this technique is totally do able with square or round wires as well!
@tomorrow29645 жыл бұрын
At times close ups of this would be helpful.
