The manual that comes with it is difficult to understand since one is not sure what to look for, as differente kind of batteries (like Li-Ion) as well. For instance to discharge a single LI-ion battery, it does not explain how to do it or what to check for in an undestandable manner. Hello, Yes you can use a adapter between 11-18v range. The iMax B6 charger can charge batteries with a current ranging from 0.1A to 5.0A. If you plan to charge batteries at the maximum current (5.0A), ensure that your adapter can provide sufficient current without overheating or voltage drop.

You set the AMP wrong. For safety just divide the battery MaH with a 1000. So in your case the charging AMP is 2000/1000 = 2. ... Your first cell voltage (3.75) is way off by the way. There must/can be only 0.1 rate difference between the cells. Check your connectors, if it stays way of your battery is dead or it gonna catch fire. So be careful

If you use 1C setting, the B6 will try to charge the battery with 5.6A. But you have to ensure that your adaptor supports this current rating. If your adaptor supports less amperage, then reduce the C to match 75% of the max output of your adaptor. For example if your adaptor supports 4A, then you can charge it at 0.5C which would approx be at 2.3A

Nice video, but I have some question about saving and loading data from memories that I hope you can help me with... When saving data to one of the memories, you're asked for the charge voltage on two subsequent screens. As a test I entered a different value on the first screen vs. the second. When I save this, it simply accepts the value from the first screen. It ignores the value from the second screen without complaining. Can anyone tell me whether these two values actually represent two different things? Also when saving data to one of the memories you're asked to enter the battery capacity. But this does not appear to impact the "capacity cut-off" value it uses when charging. Even after loading this data, it still seems to use the "capacity cut-off" value from the user settings menu. Am I missing something? What is the battery capacity in the saved data used for? Charge vs. Balance: I'm surprised the default is not to balance charge. I'm also surprised that when loading data from memory, that data can be used to charge, but not to balance charge. Again, I feel like I'm missing something. Finally, I've found that the charger doesn't complain if I leave the balance tab unplugged for "charge" mode, but it does complain and fail if I start charging in charge mode with the balance tab plugged in and then unplug it while charging. Is this the expected behavior? Any tips are greatly appreciated. Thanks!

@@redndeyes Turns out my model is older. Skyrc could not give me any info on it. It self destructed a week or two later. Despite buying it new-in-box, Skyrc refused to honor the warranty because it was an older model. I replaced it with the ToolKitRC M6D dual charger, which I like a LOT better. It's quite small and has a much nicer UI and display.

What is the safe charging rate for 2amps power adapter?
@Robocraze2 жыл бұрын
It is safer to charge at rate of half the rated amps, so as to stick to the safer side, ie 1A. If you have a really good quality adaptor, maybe you can try at 1.5A

I'm so confused, I have two 5200mah 7.4V 50C 38.48Wh 2S batteries & I just want to charge one to storage level & charge one for normal use, can anyone please help me, thank you so much if you can. (I have this exact charger, the instructions were apparently written by the same guy that writes *all* the instruction booklets for products sold in America & he doesn't know a LICK of English, so....until I get someone smarter than me to help I'm just screwed)
@Robocraze Жыл бұрын
It's recommended to charge at a rate of 1C, which for a 5200mAh battery would be 5.2A. However, if the charger doesn't have an exact setting of 5.2A, you can choose the closest available option that is lower, such as 5A.It's generally recommended to store LiPo batteries at around 3.8V per cell, which for a 2S battery would be around 7.6V.

What should i use for 4s 6000mAh 60c
@Robocraze3 жыл бұрын
Check the capacity of the battery to determine the C value. It is recommended that you charge a battery at 1C or lower to extend the lifespan, as charging at higher C can cause damage your battery. For example: If your battery is 1300 mAh - it is recommended to charge the battery at 1.3 A (1C). If your battery is 4800 mAh, it can support up to 4.8 A (1C). The charging current is also limited by the adapter being used. Do not use settings more than the rated input of the charger as given below: Input Voltage: 11-18v Charge Current Range: .1-5.0A Max Power: 50W

Need some advice... I have a 3S 4500mah 50c battery and I have the unit capacity at 5000. Is it safe to increase the capacity rate ?. Only because it seems to stop at 5000, but has not finished charging even though the battery is a 4500. Can I increase the capacity rate?
@Robocraze4 жыл бұрын
Hi, Yes you can try increasing the capacity slightly but it is recommended to not do so. It could also be the battery losing capacity over time and hence not charging to full potential.

For the battery being used, the maximum recommeded would be 1.3A. But please also check the current rating of your adaptor. If the adaptor you are using is >2A, then you can charge at 1.3A, but if it is 1A or less, then the charging current should be chosen appropriately

Voltage should be 7.4 (2S). Regarding current - I don't know for certain, but 8A seems much too high. I would start by charging with a much lower current (~1A) to be on the safe side, at least until someone more knowledgeable tells you otherwise.

Hello! For your 8000 mAh 7.6V 2-cell LiPo battery, set the charger to 7.6V (2S) and charge at 1C, which would be 8 amps. Be sure to monitor the process. Thanks! 👍
@RobocrazeАй бұрын
Yes, you're correct! For a 2S LiPo battery, the voltage should be set to 7.4V (not 7.6V). As for the current, 1C is typically recommended, which for an 8000 mAh battery would indeed be 8A. However, if you're unsure or prefer to charge safely, starting with a lower current like 1A is a good idea. It's always safer to charge slowly, especially if you're new to it.

We are using a 1A adapter for powering the battery charger. So we are setting it at less than 1A, ideally half the rated capacity. This is to avoid damaging the adaptor. But you also have to ensure that your battery can comfortably take in 0.5A. If it cannot, you should set it to an even lower value

For example: If your battery is 5200 mAh - you can use up to 5 Amps to charge it since that is the max this charger can output, however, the charging current is also limited by the adapter being used.
