Here's also a tip to win a galleon easier: Get a galleon too! By being a priviteer, you can attack a tex fleet, and tex fleet will be included with a 38-gun galleon and 2~3 escorts.The earlier the tex fleet appears, the weaker the escorts are. What only need to be prepared is to capture a whaler, because a upgraded whaler can carry more than 100 crews, which will be easy to make a galleon surrender. So just do like this: use your other ships to tangle with the escorts, and drive the whaler to capture the galleon!

Here's a tip for attacking the towns:If you own a single or more like 2-3 galleon or a slave ships at the start of the game then that is the perfect time to attack towns and also if you continuesly attacking their town even in a random nation they will stop taking the town you take it and you will make their ships Weaker if you encounter them but sometime they take it but you can just attack it to stop them for taking it again to you just do it many times and they will stop taking it again for some times and take it again if they capture it to gain also more gold or money, I hope i help you

If your ships are raising a white flag it's because they have low crew

Because they are Pirates, the only way to capture a pirate ship is through rescue missions that you can acquire in the ports
