Wow, this is so different from how I make my crossed stitches. So pretty! I always learn from you. I think a cardigan with rows of other stitches in between would be very pretty.
@TuulaMaaria8 ай бұрын
There are many different ways and I also alter them but I thought it would be confusing to different options in the middle of the stitch Cardigan with a number of stitches and these ones there too would look great!

Beautiful stitch variations!!! I’m on a roll making tops for spring and summer…will definitely be using the second variation for a top. You can use as a decorative edge at the top and bottom or even in between solid portions of your project to add interest!!! The possibilities are endless!!! Thank you for another beautiful stitch tutorial. Your picture of yourself as a child is adorable!!! Stay safe and be blessed ❤

I like the idea of a light weight tank to wear over a solid tank. Also a cardi out of a bulky yarn for cool weather when I just need a little extra warmth. I love that your tutorials start my squirrel cage running with ideas! Have a fabulous today! Steph

So pretty! I love this stitch pattern. I like the look of the first one. But love the drape of the second one. I think I’d do the second one using fingering weight except I would add 5 or maybe 6 wraps and skip an extra stitch or two in the repeat to make the X a bit fatter. I’ll have to try it to see if it works. I think I’d make a long vest. Or perhaps a tunic.
@TuulaMaaria6 ай бұрын
Great, sounds like a good plan, did you already try it with the changes? Would be interesting to know how it worked out! Happy crocheting!

As a beach coverup.
@TuulaMaaria8 ай бұрын
Yes, would be ideal for that!
@nanhart98668 ай бұрын
I have never made any clothing, that said , I would love a long vest to wear over long t-shirt dresses. I found a beach cover up pattern that I haven’t been able to complete ☹️. Wish I knew how to design my own pattern, I would definitely use this stitch! Thanks you’re great!
@TuulaMaaria8 ай бұрын
For a beach cover-up you can make a fairly loose rectangular piece with holes for arms and head.
@Blessed-2-b-a-Hembree6 ай бұрын
You can do it! Have confidence in yourself. Start with something simple like a dishcloth. Pick your stitch then decide how many repeats ( sets of stitches) you want to do. Then start your foundation and continue with the pattern until it’s the length you want. There you have designed a dishcloth. You can do the stitch mentioned by Tuula to make your beach coverup. You’ll have to measure yourself across the front and sides to see how many inches. Add a few stitch repeats so it’s not tight. I think the first example in this tutorial is a multiple of 3 stitches plus 9 Do a gauge swatch. Measure how many stitches in an inch. For example if there’s 6 stitches to an inch and you need your garment to be 26 inches across you would multiply 6 X 26. Your foundation chain would be 156 + 9= 165 chains. Then crochet in the pattern until you get the length you want. Make a second piece the same. Seam the front and back pieces together at the sides and the shoulders. You have a pull over beach cover up. I hope I’ve explained this to be understood. It’s so much easier to show someone visually. I hope you try. I believe you can do it.

I love these stitches so much and they would be perfect for the summer scarf I’ve been wanting to start very soon. I already have the yarn, but I’ve been looking for a stitch! Do you sell the pattern for the 3rd version? I’m not sure I’m adept enough to understand the repeated rows but maybe… As well, thank you for the advice on the velvet scrunchie! Next time I make these, I will remember to make the longer tail. I'm also using crochet bingo! It's exciting to see that I've actually done quite a few projects already.
@TuulaMaaria8 ай бұрын
Yes, an ideal stitch for a summer scarf! Either on its own or with other stitches. Unfortunately I don't have a pattern for that 3rd version. But if you get into problems, ask me in the membership section! Glad you enjoy the crochet bingo! I love being able to tick off things I have done, even just daily tasks, and works well for crochet too

Thank you for the tutorial. I'd like to leave this for those who might have problems remembering like I used to: American terms guidelines for beginners (how I remember) (YO= yarn over) Treble=YO 2× Double treble= YO 3× Triple treble= YO 4× and so on
@stephanielaakson89608 ай бұрын
Nice tip!!
@TuulaMaaria8 ай бұрын
Thank you! Those can be hard to remember, and especially when they are mixed with the British terms where there is always one yarnover more than in the US terms. (Treble = 1 YO etc)
@renatecormick73998 ай бұрын
Totally agree with Tuula. I can’t understand why you would call it a treble when you only do…yo, pull through, yo, pull through. That’s a double stitch, not a triple stitch. (I prefer US terms any day).
