Funafuti, Tuvalu, Pacific Ocean - the classrooms of a local school in the city of Funafuti, Tuvalu. Let's visit the beautiful (and very isolated) country of Tuvalu in the Pacific Ocean (a number of atolls, really, 3 hour north by plane from Fiji) and go inside the country's largest primary school in the city of Funafuti for a very rare view inside the classrooms. Tuvalu, in the South Pacific, is an independent island nation within the British Commonwealth. Its 9 islands comprise small, thinly populated atolls and reef islands with palm-fringed beaches and WWII sites. Off Funafuti, the capital, the Funafuti Conservation Area offers calm waters for diving and snorkelling among sea turtles and tropical fish, plus several uninhabited islets sheltering sea birds.

Yes, Tuvalu used to be a British colony..
