I loved my Pebble watches. I lived in Northern Virginia and worked in Washington, DC for 15 years and the Pebble had an app for the Metro which had the arrival times for the Metrorail stations so I could synchronize my commute better.

I want a pebble soooo bad. I've had 2 smart watches (returned both within a month) and checked out some family/friends. Everytime its just a tiny phone or worse I've had one that requires an app to be on in the background on your phone at all times! I just wanted something with a black and white screen that told me the time, change music, maybe some health stuff and generic information thats all

This is the best Linux News channel I've found so far. You do a great job of covering a subject without going overboard. I do have one question : Why did Nvidia stock tank in relation to DeepSeek? Did DS say you won't need as many GPUs or something?
@r.l.royalljr.3905
@r.l.royalljr.3905 7 күн бұрын
Correct, the pull of DS is supposed to be that it can be run on commodity hardware and still have pretty decent performance as opposed to other LLMs that need dedicated GPUs through CUDA.

Hyprland put a halt to my "desktop" hopping about a year ago (as did CachyOS for distro hopping). Hyprland 0.47 has been very good. Michael, would you consider video editing series for noobs?

@@michael_tunnell Kdenlive seems to be good. I have not tried Resolve. You just seem really good at marking, editing and transitions. (The main thing I like about Hyprland is that it is a step away from Windows interface which owned my life since Windows 3.1.)
@michael_tunnell
@michael_tunnell 4 күн бұрын
I totally get it, when I first switched I choice that path as well...I just wanted away from the workflow as much as possible lol A video editing series would be a lot of work because I would have to pick an editor and make a bunch of videos because there would be so much to teach. I might consider making a Kdenlive course or something like that. A few free videos and then a full course people can sign up for that. Thoughts on that?
