So a lot of people think he doesnt do shit and is useless, but thats not true. What he does is helpful. He doesnt win Sailor's battles for her, instead, he gives her a chance to get her barings, take a breath, and then he gives her words of encouragement to help her, so that she can become the best hero she can be. He knows that sailor moon is the greatest hope for the world, and so he relegates himself to being the support she needs to help her discover that.

I feel Tuxedo Mask is the most underrated and overlooked character in terms of power. His roses were really quite powerful, and often dispelled enemy attacks and powers. Even Jadite's control over the airplane was broken from a single rose, and the rose thrown into Beryl would have killed her if it werent for Metalia's intervention.

Ngl, I used to think he was “useless” or “didn’t do much,” but after thinking about it....He did help. A lot actually- first of, his roses literally disable the villains temporarily. Enough time for Usagi to compose herself. “Why doesn’t he join in and do something?!” That’s the point, it’s not his job. It’s not his mission to get rid of the villains. It’s USAGI’S job. Think of it like this: if you were a pro at your job, the best worker, and you see a new worker struggling with their work- it’d make more sense to just try and help them, help them compose themself, and help them in the end do it themself instead of just doing it for them. At this moment, Usagi needed to learn. She needed to learn how to compose herself and fight the villain herself without breaking f down, which is why in the end Tuxedo Mask helped out greatly with that.
