The main thing i got it from the video. One input one output. I initially boight this ages ago thinking it could control two gangs on a switch when in reality it only controlled one. I bought a mosses for the two gang but i havent connected it

Thanks. Most of the time I just use a thin hard plastic tool that I use for opening phones to replace the screens. It can be tight so you will need to be a bit aggressive but the case is stronger then it looks, I have never broken one before

Thanks for the review. I'm going to get one to control the noisy air extractor in my house. Not sure where to put it though, next to the extractor or behind the air extractor circuit breaker in the central electrical board. Does it heat up ? It's too bad they don't make a version that measures power like some connected plugs.

Thank you. This smart switch is not designed for clean contact. You would need to modify the external relay PCB and run 2 wires outside of the box. Good day, my On/OFF momentary state on the 4 channel TUYA switches/rerlays does not function as intended. Eg, I set the Timer - Schedule - ON for 07:00 and OFF to 18:30 with both Inching to 1sec, it only execute the ON state at 07:00. I have to use another channel and bridge the COM and NO terminals and set it to also to ON 18:30 to execute my application. This is also true for the single channel TUYA switch. Do you have a solution for this?

Thank you for these videos. I got this switch, but after installing it, did I realise this is a switch, on and off only. Silly on my part, what I wanted to ask, is there a device to control the ac? When I click off, or the timer turns it off, the device will tell the ac to turn off. The ac goes through its own turning off sequence rather than cutting the electricity off for the ac. That stalls the ac, when it is turned on again, it has to jump through the hoops and because it stalls, that can be dangerous all around for the ac. These are mini split ac, heat and cool. I just need the timer function primarily, the native remote is either turn on at 30 minute intervals if ac is off. Or turn off after 30 minutes intervals if the ac is on. This can only be done once, once the action happens, all memory is lost.

Thanks. You use your S1 and S2 inputs to connect a switch. When S1 and S2 connect together the smart switch is triggered. Hi, nice video. I’m planning on getting some. Mostly for my lights. I do want to know if this will work with an outlet drawing 12amps constantly for atleast 24 hours for a car charger? I wanted to set a schedule to turn it on and off depending on the day but worried it might burn it. Thanks

Thanks. That's a high amperage draw for a long period of time and I would not recommend trying that with this device or any other device for that matter. Leaving a car battery charger unattended for that period of time especially when pulling around 12 amps is almost certain to eventually end very badly. I understand the convenience of your idea but it's not worth the safety hazard. For your lights it's perfectly fine though yeh

Great video, I see the ground wire is not being used which makes me wonder by using these smart relays, our devices are no longer grounded anymore! Was that a correct way to use the smart relay if we are suppressing the ground? Why don't we put the relay inside the power socket and do not suppress the ground wires.

I was thinking to place this behind my light switches which controlls my window shutters - this way I could control them without having to walk to the switch. Would this be possible? The downside is if I have to reset my wi-fi I have to take it out again and press the reset button again..

Yes you can do that, it is designed to mount behind the light switches. No you don't need to reset it again, once setup if the wifi goes down or you have a power cut it just automatically reconnects again by itself once it's back online.

I just bought 2 channel smart switch. Schematic shows i can connect 2 devices. But i dont know where to put neutral wire from those 2 device. There is L, N, L1, L2, K1, K2. Scematics shows L connected directly to K1 and K2. N connected to both devices with L1 and L2. What is the fuction of K1 and K2? In schematic shows switch icon.

Hello, I don't know what type of Smart switch it is you have but I would recommend getting an electrician to wire that for you or you could seriously hurt yourself and your home if you wire it up incorrectly

I have adquired one of these smart switch relay, but my question is, it is really necessary to press the back reset button on the device to add it on an app? because I am planning on connect a water pump motor but I want to hide this relay on a box protector, and I don't want to open it when a new phone is installed with a new app.

Hi. Sometimes when a smart device is powered up for the first time it will automatically go into pairing mode however that is not always the case and when it doesn't, yes you will need to hold down the reset button on the back of the device to enter pairing mode. In your situation you could run 2 wires off the circuit board and connect them to another switch or button that you can mount on your box protector whenever you need to reset and pair the device. It doesn't have to be a button or switch, you could also use a momentary key switch to make it more secure. Hope that helps you out, all the best with your project

@ogr2 sorry I'm confused by what you mean. You need to connect a separate switch or button to the smart switch circuit board and you can use that to reset or put your smart switch into pairing mode (providing the switch or button is closed for a few seconds which is required to enter pairing mode)

@@SHORTwithTECH yes, let me explain. Actually I have a water pump motor that is connected to a box with a switch which I can turn it on/off. But recently I bought a smart switch like the one you showed in your video, and have the idea to make a modification to that switch, and have the option to turn on/off the water pump motor with an app, but conserve the actual switch to manually turn it on/off in case the connection goes down. But I see that many tutorials explaining about this switch tends to press the reset button on the back to make pairing with an app. The fact is that I will put the smart switch inside of the box and screw it, so I want a method to make pairing with an app without opening the box.

@ogr2 ok I understand what you mean. So to get around that problem you can just do as I suggest, drill a hole in the side of the box that your switch is mounted and mount another little switch or button inside that same box. Then connect 2 wires from that little switch to your smart switch circuit board and now you can put the smart switch into pairing mode without opening the box or interfering with the water pump at all. Hi, the Smart switch in this video is designed to operate from 100-240V AC at 50-60Hz and the outputs are rated up to 16 Amps max, hope that answers your questions

@jayabratabiswas01 There are no specs visible on the relay without trying to remove it from the circuit board. The smart switch uses a BP2525 converter so because of that my guess is the relay would be rated at 5V DC so at a guess i would say the switching current would probably be 10Amps
