What an amazing video. As an American living in Denmark, this video reflects the Danish spirit and sensibility which I consider a resource for the rest of the world. Everyone has a strength and Denmark's sense of community (even though most Danes deny they have it--after all "fish are the last to recognise water") is tangible. This video and the spirit, insight and willingness to put it out there makes me proud to be living here! Thank you TV2.

It is strangely enough always people who've never been a place, or met the people they hate, that think there is an issue. There is a reason Copenhagen is both the most accepting place in Denmark and the most culturally diverse. Because they've actually met the people, and been the places, that is being talked about.
@alexanderhessellunddinesen31087 жыл бұрын
I think what David Reis says is very recognizable in Copenhagen with the Danish spirit. But you're most definitively not the most diverse, whereas i'd find that much more applicable to Aarhus. You've a lot more people yes, but that doesn't equate to the diversity you're speaking of specifically.

Why are so many uncomfortable with the public display of compassion?
@AsbjornJonasson8 жыл бұрын
It seems that the juxtapose this with their notion of people threatening society and those who are tolerant allowing in to happen. Thus, the fact that this video promotes tolerance and togetherness, values that only lead to better lives of all people, becomes a negative. Likely, most of those who comment are American, since the unhealthy political climate in the United States has turned everyone very black and white over there.
@AsbjornJonasson8 жыл бұрын
Mr. Anderson, I'm not sure what you mean about it not being genuine. If you mean that the people in the video are actors, I highly doubt it. If they were, it wouldn't change the reality of the video, and the point would remain the same. So, it's confusing what exactly you think it being portrayed in a false light by this video.

They were my role models and I learned how to be my own person, kind to all, non judgmental and excellent work ethics. I have considered moving back to Denmark, I miss the wonderful people, the happiness and especially the kindness of Danes. This video brought me to tears. I could just feel the love, support and acceptance of everyone there. Oh how I wish the US could adopt the Danish attitudes. The country and world would be a much much better place. Okay, now I'm really homesick for Denmark.

@jaffedlopez-diaz33548 жыл бұрын
You are fighting against a strawman. The "islamic monoculture" is just a justification for your hate. If you would recognize that most of the people out there are not likely to hate you you would have to admit that your opinion is awful.
@Imlaor258 жыл бұрын
Oh, they hate me. They hate me because I'm gay, because I'm an atheist, because of my opinions, because I believe that religions don't deserve any kind of respect. I'm not the one who is awful and hateful, islam is. Study the religion. No modern and progressive person can like it, when they know what it is.

+James Behncke oh dear boy, all of us want happiness. It goes beyond the material realm. We're all born as helpless babies who depend on the protection of adults. We then grow up and want to be appreciated and understood, but seldom are so we protect ourselves as a defense mechanism. We all develop some kind of complex or try to compensate for lack of confidence in one way or another. The film showed us how much more we are alike than not. Go deeper than personality differences. Look into your soul.

This concept can be applied to linguistic diversity by recognizing the value of multiple languages and dialects within a community. Just as cultural differences contribute to a richer society, linguistic diversity fosters better communication, mutual respect, and creativity. Promoting multilingualism and embracing different ways of speaking can lead to a more inclusive society where individuals feel seen and appreciated for their unique contributions.

When it asked the meaning of life it reminded me of a time my friend was talking to me and it sounded like he was suicidal...he asked what was the point of living? I said everyone has a different reason to live but if you don’t your reason is to find it. He’s such a good friend and I’d hate to lose him. And even tho I haven’t met any of those people or anybody reading this, I would probably hate to lose anybody. :D hope this doesn’t sound too cheesy

This is a beautiful message. Thank you Denmark! We urgently need an ethic of cooperation - both within a nation and between nations. An ethic of peaceful coexistence where we (before all judgment) can take ourselves off from the biased views and see the good of each person and the points we have in common. We have a common wound and it is to be human beings. We all suffer for something. I posted the original version with Spanish subtitles in my channel. Love from Argentina
