TVs can be incredibly expensive, especially the larger flat-screen models. If I had a $3,000 TV (I'd never have one, but let's say I did) and someone broke it, you bet your sweet bippy I'd take them to court if they refused to do the right thing and replace it. That's a lot of money. We're not talking about something for a couple of hundred bucks you got at Goodwill.

Not for nothing but I understand when you're testifying, if you tell the judge what someone else said and they're not there that it's considered hearsay......... however....... Honestly how is it any different than describing the actions of someone else in your testimony? Just something I was thinking about. But seriously from a logical point of view what would be the difference in saying that someone did something as opposed to saying that someone said something? Isn't it kind of the same thing? Isn't it interesting that you can tell a judge that somebody did a cartwheel and then did a somersault and then hopped up and down on one leg...... But you can't tell the judge he told me "have a nice day"😂😂😂.... For some reason it's okay to tell a judge what you saw, but not okay to tell a judge what you heard. How is that even possible?? Someone could just as easily lie about what they saw as they can about what they heard. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Actions are not in and of themselves incriminating and can easily be witnessed by multiple people to confirm or deny that it happened. If the person is there in the room then you can say what they said because they are there to attest to the correctness of that account otherwise it is inadmissible because I can say that you said anything.
