It was in 1992 that satellite transmission of PTV Network started with the launch of the first ever satellite channel of Pakistan i.e PTV-2. PTV started broadcasting its transmission on the same satellite beam in 1994 but ofcourse at different timings along with PTV-2 . But the content of both terrestrial and satellite beams were more or less the same accept for the regional languages shows and live sports matches which were shown on terrestrial broadcast only.

I was 14 year old in 1994 now i am turning in 44, jab khabarnama aata tha lagta tha bohat raat hogai.. or school ki tension hoti thi... Ab miss kr raha woh bohat raat k 9:00 ka bajna or subha school ko jana ... Sab badal gaya ! 90s was the best era ... Rather than progressing forward, there has been a regression or backward shift.

Three channels, PTV one, ptv 2 and NTM( later called STN) in 1994.

@@amjadhussain9434 Thank you, but before the launch of STN/NTM, Pakistan had just one television channel, similar to that in India and Indonesia. The second PTV channel was only started in 1992. And when STN/NTM ceased its operations in 1999, PTV was Pakistan's only broadcaster. The launch of Indus Television Network (satellite) in 2000 really started the growth in number of television channels in Pakistan.
