TV Guide was my TV bible for years and years. I used to collect them -- and already have THIS edition in my stack!

Back in the good ol' days - only three networks but you could always find something to watch. Now I've got hundreds of channels but there's nothing on.

I'm old enough to remember the magazine The TV Guide. My parents had a subscription to it and we used it for everything. Of course my favorite show is Emergency! But we watched other shows as well. Watching these videos reminds me of the sampler time of when I was growing up. The years that you have shown are the years I was 9, 10, and 11. Gosh I miss those times. I grew up in Southern California, Yorba Linda and the two memorys that have stayed with me the most, the moon landing in '69 and the earthquake in 1971. Oh but I do remember other things as well. And I miss those days. I'll be 62 this year and I wish that I could go back.

I was ten that year. I remember most of the kid friendly shows. Brady Bunch Partridge Family Wonderful world of Disney. Bewitched was still a favorite Lassie too. The Saturday morning shows were awesome. It’s a real shame that the networks don’t program them anymore

I saw that on Wednesday there was an ad for "Doctor in the House." It was an English comedy and I thought it was funny.

2 of the most iconic TV themes of the 70's: The NBC Mystery Movie (Henry Mancini) & Night Gallery (Gil Mellé).

I used to save TV Guide, too! I especially liked the Fall Preview editions every year. I believe I started around 1973 when I was 12, and then kind-of let it go some time in the early 90's. I basically saved just the Fall Preview editions, and let go of any, and all the rest of my stash. Takes up too much room, but it's hard giving up a fun hobby! Do they still print TV Guide anymore? I know that's probably a stupid question, but I don't recall seeing it anymore @ the checkout lanes in grocery or drug stores. Well, "thank you" for this nice page by page visit. I suppose TV Guide in 2024 could be retitled FS Guide, for 'flat screen', or are flatscreens actually televisions still? From 📺 to 🖥️ 😊

In 2005 they changed to a magazine-size, but stopped printing the Regional issues! I moved from CA to AZ and the AZ issue was 'Pacific Coast,' so useless to me! And I think each issue is for Two or sometimes Three weeks now.

Any chance you might do one on the Fall Preview editions of TV Guide's earlier years, 1953 to 1970?
@BruceWayneOfOz4 ай бұрын
@@JIMOTOOLE1949 I only started saving them all in 1971. But I'll be busy enough with the collection ending in 2005!! 😀
