Yup, as a kid watching reruns, I had begun to suspect Susan Oliver and cages were a common theme. Still, it's Susan Oliver. They really knew how to bait a trap back them. Albert Salmi did a lot of tv work back in the day. Terrible how things ended with him in real life.

Epic shirt is EPIC! For me, Roddy McDowall could read a phone book and I am IN! Execution is one of my all-time favorite episodes!

"People are Alike All Over" reminds me a bit of the Star Trek pilot episode The Cage.

I want that refrigerator to replace the piece of crap side by side I have now. Whoever came up with a fridge that can't hold a frozen pizza needs to visit the Twilight Zone. 🤬

It's always a joy to see Roddy McDowell his way through a good script. On the bright side, they didn't kill him. I suspect if you turned to a random channel in the 1960s you had a better than 50% chance of seeing a cowboy shooting at you in first person. ...And the man who picks up the lighter in the end? His name was Fred Zippo.

Strangely enough, Samsung makes a large refrigerator like the one in the commercial. The middle drawer is described as a beverage drawer but could be used for other things. At 70 inches tall, it won't fit under the cabinet above my current fridge. It's called a Bespoke 28.8 cu-ft Smart French Door fridge with a freezer drawer on the bottom. And no, I don't sell refrigerators, I've started shopping for one.

People Are Alike All Over was based on a short story by Paul Fairman. Paul also wrote the short story "Beast of the Void" which became the basis for a 1961 novel and 1972 film of the same name... Solaris. But you probably aren't too familiar with that particular movie...

I like the music at the end and how they advertised appliances back in the day. With "People Are Alike All Over" I wonder if Rod Sirling and Paul Fairman were aware of human exhibits on display just a few years before the episode? "Execution" was a Twilight Zone poetic justice episode. The episode didn't touch the ethics of purposely plucking a random person out of their time. It's interesting these back to back episodes show the right way and the wrong way of how to pull a fast one on somebody. "Execution" was the wrong way.

Speaking of PLANET OF THE APES, when the Martians cart away the remains of Marcusson (and I had to look up on IMDB how to properly spell that), how much you wanna bet that they stuffed him and put him in a museum, like Dodge? (And, DAMN, that moment still creeps me out ... ) When you noted that Roddy McDowell's room had No Windows and No Doors, I had flashbacks to The Haunted Mansion at Disneyland. (Or Walt Disney World, depending on whichever one one has attended.) Which, of course, offers him this chilling challenge ... TO FIND A WAY OUT!!! (Bwa-hahahahahahahahaha etc)

Uh-oh. Now I’m wondering if the Martians will follow me home! I love that ride, and as an Orlando native, I not only went to WDW, I actually worked there for a couple of years.
