There’s an EC comic story similar to the chaser, only the woman switches drinks as hers was warmer. The guy ends up in purgatory alone but then she shows up saying she wanted to join him and he’s miserable

My favorite Twilight Zone episode is Walking Distance. It's a great one.

Apparently, the back story is that Gabe is in a jazz band with his brothers Mike, Ralph, Uri, Joe, Cam and Zad. The producer made them kick their other brother Lou out of the band because he wanted to write his own music. Now he works for an underground label. Nicely spotted on the Psycho supporting characters. Clearly I'm not needed here... :)

Chaser, for me, was one of the best tongue-in-cheek, TZ offerings. While it is hard to take seriously, it winks and grins at the viewer with a tried and true trope. As for Passage...Yeah, Klugman is the reason to watch it. Just a bit too cute for my tastes. Another cracking vid as always!

I agree with you about "The Chaser". It does remind me of the hypothetical in "How to Murder Your Wife" (1965). Klugman gives an excellent performance. It seems a view of the afterlife is something that could change someone's perspective on things. This might be an episode that would have done better as a one hour.

The Chaser is a classic story, which ends when the young man buys the love potion. Jack Klugman saves his episode, in my opinion. He's able to take something maudlin and make it immediate and real. I don't know if he ever played Willy Loman, but he should have.

The Klugman episode seems to have a bit of an It's a Wonderful Life vibe.

The last time I witnessed someone "let Joey play with his horn" I had to call the police. I'm no prude, but there are times and places.

Chaser reminded me of a EC story drwan by Jack Kamen ... forgot the title, though.

@@TheUnapologeticGeek I read that before Lee Harvey Oswald set about his journey into history that fateful day he prepared himself a cup of Folger's Instant jove. Enough said.
