You had me when I saw you holding that beer lol. Great video. I was thinking of hiring someone but after watching your video will try it myself. Wish me luck.

I have never mounted a TV and I have always hired someone to do it for my moving business. Am learning how to mount so that I can do it on my own and stop hiring people. Thanks for the video Sir.

This installation might’ve seemed “stupid” to you, but this just adds useful tips and understanding not only to your pocket, but to the pockets of those who are clueless on how to mount a TV as well. Thank you for making this helpful tutorial ! Peace !

You need a percussion or a hammer drill to drill into concrete,/masonry. You only need one bit, the size your anchor call for. It a masonry bit with a carbite tip. You drill in a little then pull out so powder can escape hole. It takes about 5 seconds to drill a 3/8" hole in concrete with a hammer drill, and the hole will be perfect for the anchor fit. Drilling without a hammer drill is gonna leave a wallowed out hole that is not perfect fit for anchor.

I wonder if my drill is a hammer drill.. Urgh, I know nothing about this stuff and my uncle has done nothing but put unnecessary holes in my walls while trying to put things up in my apartment.

Good tips man, I like the progressive drills idea. I am dealing with 24" on retaining concrete wall in the basement.

That's not a concrete wall, it's a concrete block wall. Disappointing that he couldn't do the whole installation holding a beer in one hand.

Lol! Both are very valid points!!! Cheers!

I woulda probably scrapped my crapcrete wall going straight for the main bit. The gradual drilling is a great idea.

Currently trying to mount 41 TVs at an Amazon facility with a hammer drill and masonry bits and it’s has been a pain in the ass. Going to Home Depot now to try your method! Not sure if this concrete is different from your home this shit is at least 12 inches thick.

With that weight the anchors you used are okay but I would recommend 1/2 concrete anchors and lag bolts only difference - AV Tech

Im about to put one up on my patio.. Thinking of using a 2x6 and tapcons before mounting the bracket on the wall. With the tv I have its a pain to get the hdmi to get plugged in the back when its super flush with a wall.
@katydidnt39062 жыл бұрын
Maybe a short HDMI extension plugged in before fixing to the wall, and then you have a tail to easily plug and unplug components?

How do you know where each concrete block ends so as to avoid drilling into the seams?
@SebastianBalos Жыл бұрын
I didn't and it largely does not matter. the seems might be a bit "weaker" but its still enough to hold a TV in my opinion. Cheers!

@elmerlopez27362 жыл бұрын
There is a raceway on the bottom of the tv . Im pretty sure he ran an extension cord up to the back of the Tv . If it was me I would have put a junction box on the other side of the wall and install a receptacle behind the tv

Forget the TV, how much does your house cost???? And where exactly are you? You got an indoor pool and a fountain (jacuzzi? hot tub? Hot tub Time Machine?) and you got your bedroom overlooking all of these AND you look like Zach Galifranikas (Whatever! Can't spell!) all while doing this! What job are you doing and how did you manage to buy such a sweet pad like this????😵💫😵

Impact drills make quick work of concrete... Good tip about the level btw... There's sweet f@#k all length on that 1" pos to give an accurate averaged out reading.

Is that an impact driver or just a regular driver?
@SebastianBalos3 жыл бұрын
Just a regular drill. The key is fresh drill bits. Cheers!
@Fernando.Vivanco2 жыл бұрын
By looking at his drill bits you can see the hexagon shape so it is an impact driver not a regular drill.
