It's really sad that there are so many pro shop operators that are not good. There are so many that hate 2 handers. There are pro shop guys that have 0 idea about layouts and don't believe in them. There are also so many that look down on bowlers and very rude if we are not an established pro. I'm so glad I was able to find a pro shop that works for me that actually ask my opinion and ball reviews and allow me to help with bowlers and have me present bowling balls to customers and they know what I'm talking about. Even discuss what would be a good layout for x bowler. All above in the video is amazing. Plus, make sure to practice spares. Lessons are there for anyone, no matter the level.

Never had a pro shop operator find my pap or watch me throw a ball. Had to find my own, bought armadillo to help me be accurate on location of pap. I have found a pro shop who will not drill a ball for anyone with out watching them throw a ball, and finds their pap. The pro shops I used to go to drilled same layout on everyone's balls.

This sounds like the shop we deal with at the moment. They stay busy and use that as the excuse that everyone gets the same unless you’re one of those guys who hangs in the pro shop from open to close.

When should a new bowler get their pap checked? I'm still trying to develop a consistent release and don't always release the same. Plus as my hand and arm strengthens, I'm able to cup the ball a little differently. So is the time still now to get my pap checked or when should I do that? I'd like to get a stronger ball but don't want to waste money if it can't be layed out properly.
@tvbowlingsupply3 ай бұрын
When you feel comfortable with your release would probably be a good time! Or if you feel like your balls aren’t reacting the way you’d like them to

@@tvbowlingsupply i only have a hussle rip with a "neutral" layout they called it, and a mix for spares. I'd like more hook on a ball. I know I'm not generating a lot of revs at this stage but if i miss right, my hussle burns out in the dry on the sides of the lane and then I basically hit about the right of the 6 pin. When i miss left and slide through all the oil, ill Brooklyn. So I'd like a stronger ball so I can move more left and let it do it's hooking on the dry.

All of what you said is great... But if the Houses Panels are all out of spec by 15 years+(hpl surface is over 30yrs old)... and oil cant be applied correctly/evenly due to uneven surfaces at MESA EAST BOWL here in Mesa AZ... and Bowleros in Arizona are all ran into the ground, smell, dirty, and lane maintenance is ran by a minimum wage moron... how does anyone increase an average? The ENTIRE STATE of Arizona treats bowling like Putt Putt Golf and Games... rather than a sport. Unless you live in a state that Bowling is POPULAR & Respected... No pro shop in AZ will ever fix anything.

I find that pro shops dont charge for deep cleaning or bringing your ball back to out of box which bugs me. Im grateful of course but I want to support my shop and pay them when they do something for me. I leave a big tip when I do it (which is rare) Good tips.
@xouijit773 ай бұрын
No, your pro shop doesn't charge YOU to deep clean your balls. That does not mean they don't charge everyone. Most pro shops charge and post that price on their menus. If your PSO do you a solid, then the least you can do it's take care of them.
