I must commend the two guests in this program who understand perfectly what is happening in the country. Senator Sheun has been involved in protest in the country and he still does whenever necessary and most of all is has been a lawmaker so he understands perfectly what should have taken place. The demands for the protest were not properly organized and the leaders of the protest were faceless and still faceless even when the president has called for dialogue. None of the protesters leaders have come out to say they would dialogue with the government all we hear after the president's address to the nation is that he did not address their demand and hence they will continue the protest. As Senator Sheun has pointed out if the organizers had initiated their demands prior and there had been negotiation back an forth both parties would known how far and what they have agreed on. The demands were vague and do not require decision with dialogue and negotiations. We saw that happened with the organized labor for the minimum wage, the president set up a committee made up of all relevant parties to come up with recommendations. Who are the leaders for this Endbadgovernment protest? Is "Take It Back" movement the umbrella for the citizens or they are just an independent organization like all others in the country? There are credible individuals in the Nigeria that support this protest but not bold enough to say they are the leaders that the government should be talking to. At this point if the leaders of this protest are not ready to dialogue with the government, the Senator will not be far from the truth that the protesters simply want the government out. Even before this protest there have been people that believe that the president is illegitimately elected and therefore, his government is also illegitimate. These are the same people with political parties affiliations that fault the the president address to the nation. The second guest in this program was also right in his assessment, al lot of the youths on the street protest know nothing about what the government is doing since they got into office to address the problems in the country. A proper orientation is needed at all levels of the government. One thing is to make demands and the second thing is for the person making the demand to know the process and the consequences. This is the reason why the protesters assume that the president did not address their demand and it is not surprising. Protesting 100 days on the street will not yield any result without a dialogue. If Nigerians have respect for the office of the president and not the individual occupying the seat for the sake of the nation the protesters should call off the protest and honor the invitation for a dialogue unless they are not serious.

Exactly. May God save this nation from that dangerous obidient movement; they started this. Onagboruwa was literally an obidient, right from last year's election. Before Inauguration, it was the obidients that went to Defence Headquarters in Abuja to plead for military interference. Tinubu should learn: he has an enemy in them and they simply hate him because of Lagos and the way he helped defeat Jonathan. They Have no forgiven him. He should have 'scored' a vital goal with NNPC in December, last year December. He should have mandated December, 2023 as sacrosant, instead he is busy tightening the masses with taxes.

They are dealing with the murderous, myopic monsters known as corrupt Nigerian politicians, so a monstrous refusal of their monstrous wickedness is needed. The politicians know what to do to end this situation for the positive development of Nigeria. If they don't, move aside for those that do.

The government calls for dialogue. Are you saying there is no room for dialogue? If no room for dialogue and think you want to overthrow the government through a violent protest then you are looking for a very big trouble and you and I can guess the end. I hope you are in Nigeria and not some where else outside so that when it starts you will get your share.

@@ahmedadigun1930 how exactly did you interpret what was written as no room for dialogue? The government had weeks of notice for said dialogue. Why didn't that happen? This wasn't a spontaneous protest, they knew it was coming for a long time. Again, the government know what to do, if they are really seeking the positive development of the nation. Everybody will also get their share, internally and externally, when the country improves, even you.

How many of them came out that time expect some individuals that wrote to the government claiming that they are thier solicitors. If you know who they are you can please list out there names here.

@@Ike-un6mcwherever you live in the world, if you’re really updated on this protest, you’ll agree that this government has been pleading for a dialogue instead of this protest for weeks to no avail. Instead what everyone was asking was, “ what are they afraid of?, didn’t he protested against GEJ in 2012?”. The faceless organizers did not reveal themselves until the NPF began to notify of an hijack of the protest. The few days to the protest, a handful of persons from the “Take it back group” came online as a co-organizer. They even refused to unveil the other organizers. The best from the group is they got hungry and angry Nigerians planning on X, and they decided to join them. My question is who are those unorganized hungry and angry X users that can be met in a round table discussions. It’s quite obvious by the list of their demands that their intention was an Arab Spring-like or a Bangladesh-like protest to forcefully change the government. The options of dialogue was never on the table from day one. We all know they were being fuel by the hatred for the person of the President. And up till now, they are still saying no dialogue. But one thing is of note; they have failed in their regime change agenda. Nigeria is matured than Bangladesh. And else don’t have a Monarchy Presidency as in the Ara spring. Nigerian democracy has matured beyond that. No millitary man will want to take over by a coup, the country will burn down. 13 months is too short for the life of those long-term policies of this government. The State governments should be held responsible for the way they are spending their palliative funds. Fuel subsidy can never return to Nigeria again. If you want it back, you could return it after BAT’s tenure.

Shehu Sani should understand that this is not NLC. That always come to dialogue with the government, and they must understand that this is not communal conflicts that can be called for dialogue but this is about all Nigerians citizens asking the government to change the narrative of the present system that has been a nightmare to the people so we're crying and calling for help for mr President to reverse those policies that are not working for the country and implement the right policies that'll bring down the high cost of living so the masses can be affected positively that's what we the citizens is asking for

How does the government reduce food prices when you and I have neglected farming? Does the government sell food? Let’s be practical in our demands. On the fuel price, the government just directed the NNPC to furnish all local refineries with 450k b/d in Naira. Won’t that reduce the fuel price, knowing that every costs attached to importation, sourcing of dollars and logistics is cut off? Again are you aware that the NNPC by law is now a private company called NNPCL, and the Federal government only has a share of it.? Are you also aware that the NNPCL owns the refineries now as a private entity with government having a share of it. It’s not business as usual when NNPC was 100% owned by government. Please update yourself with this information to know how to contribute meaningful to a public discourse.
