TVC, this is poor journalism. Did your reporter talk to the Minister in-charge of Solid Minerals? No. Was any attempt made by you to confirm the immigration status of the Chinese men at the illegal mining site? No. Did TVC encourage another media house, for example, a newspaper, to do a follow-up on this documentary? No. Were the representatives of Atakumosa LGA at the National Assembly in Abuja contacted by your reporter for a deeper insight into the illegal mining activity? No. If TVC had done it’s job professionally, it would have helped to force the hands of the government to do something beneficial to our economy with regard to illegal mining in Nigeria.

The damage to their land or farmland is not even considered at all. Nobody in any country in the world, can go to China and excavate their natural resources in such a way that will destroy their land. Who born that person!
