The philosophy of Japanese games (like Dark Souls, Silent Hill, or Bloodborne), their game design and storyline, tend to differ from Western European or American counterparts. People carry the imprint of their culture and, consciously or not, reproduce worldview patterns in their works of art. We will try to figure out what cultural patterns distinguish Japanese video games from others, and how banal ethics of communication can affect the game design of various projects, and what does the ritual have to do with it. This is the last video in the outgoing year, so everyone enjoy watching and happy holidays! :)
