My grandpa died a year before the Golden Girls started airing. After my grandpa died I went to visit with my grandma once a week to keep her company. The Golden Girls became the show we watched every week. We laughed a lot and had fun. She had 2 neighbors (they were sisters who had lost their husbands as well). The 3 of them became known as the Golden Girls with the other senior’s they went out to eat with once a week. My grandma died in 14. I still miss her and the laughter we shared

Fun fact: before George Clooney was a major movie star he was a tv actor and the Golden Girls was one of his first major roles. Also the Golden Girls was THE major role for director/actor Quentin Tarantino. He played one of the Elvis impersonators.
