I dont like people shitting on the new grands. as a real jeeper with an off road rig im still gonna buy a GC as a daily drive/pavement pounder. theyre better look then any other car, american and despite independent suspension theyre still gonna be better offroad then some shitty Hyundai.

Corranhorn122 It probably depends how hard core your off roading is. I'm sure someone will make solid axle kits as well, as they have been doing for trucks since the 90's.

We totally agree with you! Drive one and you will know how good they handle. We have driven just about everything out there and we would not trade our 2014 Overland for any one of them. Jeep rules!!!!!

my dad has has a jeep grand Cherokee but we have drove on the beach never got stuck but we didn't think it was a good "off road" car until brought it to ports mouth island and we put it through some shit, a foot of mud, 3 feet of water, sand dunes. it went every where the wrangler went. no set up at all it just proves it wasn't all made for off road but its still a jeep

Fiat didn't really design this model. This one came out before Fiat bought CJD. The 2014 model received a facelift that would have been designed by fiat most likely.

0:36 .. I feel like my mothers Altima will have better sway control and suspension work over these tiny logs... that thing sways and rocks around like a cart. Definitely much more of a road 'car' then an offroader this new model is. Still questioning its ride comfort though.. and even handling, when one watches the moose test fails that have been around for some time now.

Yeah….the moose test…..done in countries where people can’t drive and over react………if you live in an area where a moose jumping out is likely: fit bars and practice braking without swerving…..instead of panicking like a bitch and swerving all over the road……

just sayin. i've been 4x4 driving for 47 years. these testers haven't shown me anything other than they are stuck on a course that they suck at driving. i've had a 47 2a, a 71 cherokee and a 96 cherokee. i am a motorcycle commuter. i do however climb into the cage which is a v6 08 touareg when i have to. i've been in muddy snot up to the frame and been able to be self delivering. i see the '14 gc as the winner of the road based off roader. perhaps the fiat group will address some lift options for those who would spend the $$$. i would.

That would be amazing, maybe the next trailhawk for Moab will have solid axles and 10,5 inches of ground clearance. But I think this GC is much better than Toyotas or Land Rovers
