I'm 58 now and I just got an irresistible urge to listen to this for the first time in over 40 years ....and guess what it sounds better than ever it truly does,I'm also tempted to listen to the captain Scarlett,Joe 90, Thunderbirds, stingray and other classic 1960s theme tunes to my childhood TV heroes...it's worth a mention some of these theme tunes graced the dance floor at the ICONIC WIGAN CASINO NIGHT CLUB!!!!,now that's one hell of a " NOD , THUMBS UP SEAL OF APPROVAL" .Can't for the life of me think of anything today that even comes close....so anyone of my generation or just curious music lovers of any age ....go on I dare you seek them out especially the Joe 90 theme tune..if you don't tap your feet or smile ...book an appointment with your cardiologist and get an ECG ...coz your heart is in need of immediate examination!!!!!,as always thanks for reading my post..any comments either good or not so good are always welcome and I truly respect your opinions.... thanks again!!!!

Marvelous. They don't make 'em like this anymore. Some of the incidental music was from the Chappel music library and one particular track also features in 'The Prisoner's' 'The Chimes of Big Ben' episode. I often watch the opening titles over and over again. Dear Arthur English as Slugger was hilarious but was only a comedy support. He deserved his own story lines. Originally watched this in the 70's when it was 1st shown but my memory of 'Randall & Hopkirk' and 'Catweazle' is earlier.

dlamiss Ace of Wands? good lord i thought i was the only person on the planet that remembered that show. But sorry if you are going on tv themes the one i want on repeat on head phones when its my time is The theme from Robinson Crusoe, well maybe with Belle and Sebastian thrown in just because my parents adopted me at 9 months old and and an 8 week old retriever pup on the same day , when i was 15 i had to let my "sister" go. Without doubt one of the most heart breaking days of my life. People who dont understand have told me she was only a dog, yeah? well nobody told her that.

I admit I am too young for this show, a friend that watched it cited it as one of this favourite tv programs as a child so I checked it out. I am perhaps of the wrong generation to really enjoy the plot but the theme is just fantastic even by todays standards. I often return and listen to this amongst old themes I that personally remember, just because I feel it's so good it's a show I would've watched if I was older.

The theme tune of Follyfoot is sung by the original incarnation of English West Midlands folk quartet the Settlers. Follyfoot was originally transmitted in the days when we only had three analogue television stations (BBC1, BBC2 and ITV) in the United Kingdom.

@airscrew1 Thanks for replying to my comment. I don't remember Pebble Mill or Crown Court, (must have been at school) I grew up in N. Ireland and left in 1974 to come to Canada. I always felt inferior to the English, they had it "going on" But it is always nice to reminisce over old shows we used to watch. Black Beauty and Follyfoot were my favourites!!!!
